Do you need one for each machine or can they run multiple machines? I like TITO, but I have 13 machines in my personal collection. Way cool but not for $1300 dollars..

One for each machine that you would like it to work in.  I've known many that pay way over that amount to by a single way cool slot machine.  Seems like a small price to pay to me to have your entire collection with working TITO...as you said it is pretty cool.  No one ever said you had to take care of your entire collection at once either.  Spread it out over a year.

No it is not a Amicus or a PIC based solution.

That's an Arduino Uno microcontroller with a Max232.

Once a ticket has been "cashed in to a machine" is that ticket dead forever ? or can I remove it from the cash can and use it over and over again ?  
A more perplexing question, if I copy a ticket on a copier 10 times can those copy's be used in any of the machines that have this device ?
Say I only buy only one unit, but have 5 machines without this new device, can all the tickets from those 5 units be used in the machine that does have the the new TITO unit ?
hypothetically speaking, can a ticket out from another users (say from California) machine be mailed to me (say in Ohio) be use in my machine if I have this TITO device ?
Say I have a "special" machine that I can not use a "clear"chip on, this device would not work on it , right Jim ?

answer to a few of your questions that i know of, once it has been cashed in it is not dead, they can be reused, yes ticket can be copied and reused in any machine in device, no if a ticket is printed from a machine without the device then it will not be read using a machine with the device. if a person in cali has the device and you have device then yes it can be read

if you look closly at the video you will see the ticket amount is embeded into the validation number (they using system validation)

Just a warning for anyone getting this device, and slam me if you want but DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE if you plan on using in a casino\gaming (live) room for profit and if you do please please please let me know where so i can come gamble at your establishment

These were just general questions and you seem to have answered most if not all of mine.
I only have a couple older machines anyway,  and just wanted to ask some of the obvious questions.
No way do I have any intentions of using this in a casino\gaming room.
Kinda disappointed that I can not use a ticket from a non equipped machine in a equipped machine.
I could always pull out a buck from my wallet and use that.

DITTO to what zarobhr stated.  In no way should this be considered a product to be used for commercial use, nor could it.  It is only for home use where actually voucher accounting and validation is irrelevant.  Nor should there be any legal issues as this device cannot create a voucher that could be used in a casino as their validation server would reject it.  A single ticket generated from this machine could be used again and again in all of your machines with the same device installed:

Direct answer from the manufacturer as follows:

This is for home use only and the tickets DO NOT die.  So to answer your question a ticket can be used over and over again and copies will work
in machines with the board.  The machine will only accept and record the proper amount of credits from a ticket printed from a machine with a TITO board installed in it.

This means I can mail you printed tickets from my machines from a machine several states away and they will work and be accepted in any machine that has a TITO unit installed.

You do need a key chip to properly install the board.

As a owner of a S+ I would need a printer, and only one of my units has a WBA
What does the upgrade path for an S+ look like...... (other than buying a S2000 LOL)

These are not the units that are in the homebrew section -  
They are Aduino microcontroller with an ATmega328 processor.  The Amicus has a PIC processor.   The code that is publicly available would not run on the arduino.  

Anyway if you went and gathered up the components and found the code for this it would still be quite expensive.  I'm glad Jim has plenty of inventory and brings this to home users at a reasonable price!

Shipping costs are a bane to ownership. I would not be happy with just one (would like 2) and a couple of GKs too.

I need to investigate if the transport of a slot from NV back through CA is going to get the machine (or me) impounded.

I hate driving so 6hrs/day is max. Heading east across central canada is long, straight, boring. Kind of like driving through the midwest (no offence intended).

I have 3 cats.... they don't play nice with others.

A couple of questions.

First I have 4 machines. I have a Bluebird that already has a BV and a Printer. I also have a Reel Touch that has a BV but NO Printer. I also have an I Game+ also with a BV but NO Printer. And I also have  an S+ Wild Cherry with a BV and NO Printer.

I would need printer setups for those 3 machines. If anyone on here has what I need to set those 3 machines up with printers please PM Me.

Then of course I would need  all the hardware to set up all 4 machines for TITO. 

Also how difficult would it be to make the BV's ONLY read tickets and NOT CASH???  That way I could print out a bunch of High Denomination Tickets and use them over and over again and not worry about using Cash.

I don't think it's mandatory to have a working printer to be able to accept the tickets from another machine that does have a working printer and the new TITO unit. Just cash out however you are doing that now.

Do these get misreads?? My tito on my wba12 egot a  misreads on my $1000 ticket it gave me 41k in credits on my s2k.....

Tim...at the moment I have to say no, but in reality we know that it is possible and will likely work.  When time is available in the coming month we are going to start testing the device on that platform.  In a way though I don't think I want to market it as an option for the simple reason, as you know, most S6000's out there will not have the correct mains on them to run the printer properly.  So for those here through NLG that already have working printers I think we should be able to accommodate them.

On your machine is that 40 spins?

Hehe...yeah I hate programming that info every time also especially with a S2000.  Unfortunately customizing the ticket header is built into the machines software and cannot be embedded on the board.

H'mm.  TZtech was doing it with the amicus, I was hoping to save a lot of work.

The "official" response is what I posted above, but it can probably be done.  But you have to understand these units have been mass produced for distribution and to tear them apart and customize like that would not be realistic.  The simple thought of units arriving with potential misunderstandings or someone wanting something in Caps or not would turn to a mess.

I have a couple questions.

I do not own any machine yet, but am planning on purchasing a IGT S2000 soon.

I was wanting one that did Coin-in/Coin-out, but with this device I may scratch the coin idea..

One of my questions have already been answered (Tickets CAN be reused)

I have a couple more questions:

1. In the first post you said it can be orderd to add credits with the push of a button?,  Can we get more information clearification on how that works?  I assume if I put a ticket in woth $100, I could then add a $20 bill, and cash the ticket out for $120?

2. In the video it shows @ 4:26 the printer printing a ticket says "Your Establishment" then below it said "Your Location, city, state, zip"     Is that settable either in this device, or the machine itself?

1.  Yes your correct - just like a vegas slot the credits will just keep adding up ticket after ticket, bill after bill - it doesn't matter

2.  You can set the name easily through your machine settings

Is there some instructions/information as to these "Machine Settings"  Every time I ask a vendor about possible settings or user configurable settings I basically get told there are no user settable settings, and the couple of settings that there are must be set by them.

What all is settable in the machine?

Only tickets from a machine that has the device. I'm guessing you could probably sweet talk Jim into printing a ticket or two and putting it into the box when he ships you the parts for TITO. I'm pretty sure the amount is embedded into the ticket with this solution so it would have to be a ticket that was printed after the components were installed and set up.

Just wanted to chime in here and post that I've received four of these units (3 IGT I-Games and 1 WMS Bluebird NXT). Jim was very helpful and walked me through the entire process of installing the devices and setting up the games to talk to them. Piece of cake. Very happy with the purchase.

I received 1 unit for my Bluebird1/Bluebird2. I didn't wait for the manual or "tech support" and installed/configured it in about 5 minutes. Super easy to configure and super easy to connect. It does everything it is supposed to do, including the add credits feature via "call attendant" button. Sweet to have, even only having 1 machine.

Will this work anytime soon on Konami advantage 3?

I received my bettor Tito today but not sure how to enable it.  I didn't receive any instruction in the package.  I got it installed and went through the clear and key chip steps but no good I'm not sure what has to be enabled or what steps I'm missing. Anyone have the instructions that would be able to tell me what I'm missing.  I have a  igt s2000 vision

Chad, in today's day and age of technology...seems to us a waste of a tree to include paper instructions.  Most manufacturer's of any electronic out there typically either give you a web address or CD to download electronic files to your computer.  We just followed the trend.  I should also add that very soon we will have video installation guides on YouTube.  Sometimes it's easier to see it rather than read it.

Maybe you should post the manual(s) here so people can just download them on their own?

looking at the pdf instructions  you would want to set up under 7.2.3 voucher,
"VOUCHER TO FOLLOW CREDIT LIMIT" instead of voucher to follow bill limit..... this will allow you to be able to insert tickets in greater value then your bill limit and up to the value of your credit limit!! this wasnt listed in the instruction......

You know I personally really like playing those.  I use to play the crap out of them at Paris years ago...I think they are still there.  Unfortunately in the aftermarket home use market there has been no demand for them and as a result we never invested in them for resale.  If I don't have a machine here to test against then likely we will not be attempting to make the TITO unit available for it, I'm really sorry about that.

The TITO in & out works fine on my S9000, Great Job! but my M9000 won't take a ticket from my S9000 or my M9000......... Any suggestions? The menus are different on the M9000 & the S9000. Do the 2 require different settings? If so, what are they?

Great...glad to hear it is working.  The setup menu can have slight variations depending on the year of manufacture of the OS (operating system) flash card so likely there is a single setting we are missing here.  Please PM me the following information and we will go from there.

1)  Phone number and best times of day to reach you....give me a range of time if you can.

2)  OS year of manufacture on both machines, the one that is working and the one that is not.

I just wanted to drop a quick note to all. I visited Jim yesterday and even though he was not feeling 100% he took the time fix a few problems I was having. I also had him install TITO devices in 4 machines for me. K+ for his outstanding service, attention to detail  and work ethic.

While we (he) was setting up the TITO in my S2000 he noticed an error in the setup instructions so I wanted to pass it along

Under 3.4 Communications Options the instructions tell you to press (Spin) (Cash Out) (Cash Out) (Cash Out) the correct sequence is (Spin) (Spin) (Spin) (Cash Out)

why am i getting a lot of misreads lately on my wba13 with inserting the tickets??? there for $1000 and i get various amounts at times? but on my mei i never get any misreads :103- :103-

Likely it needs calibrated, cleaned, or the head needs replaced.

will def calibrate it as soon as i can get calabrated paper.....

i tell ya from having both bill validaters a wba13 and a mei..... i think the mei out beats wba's by a long shot....

I put in $12,000 in tickets in my JCM validator and ended up with $54,104.40 in the machine, a Bally Alpha S9000.

For sure the Mar's MEI you have in your machine Staz is a superior BV when comparing to any WBA.  Those are super fast and you don't dare get your bill within and inch of the bill entry area because it will suck the bill right out of your hand before you have a chance to change your mind about it   :96-.

But you can't put a JCM WBA 12/13 next to the current Mar's product and say that one company did a bad job and the other company did good.  They are from different generations of design and production and to do a fair comparison you have to put it next to JCM's current product the "UBA".  These are the two current competing products.

The older WBA's (12/13) are going to be quirky given their age.  Slow running motors, belts that should be replaced, and the need for calibration or replacement heads all together.  All that just hinders a proper read when you insert a bill or ticket.  On the positive side...at least you can update the software on the WBA's.  And if you are getting incorrect readings when inserting a ticket, since you know it is printing the ticket with the correct number on it, then you have to start looking at your BV.

Okay, so my TITO is working fantastic!

However, I wanted to note because it was discussed earlier in the post that you COULD copy tickets..

I have tried doing this and have been unsucessfull.   I scanned the origional tickets @ 600 DPI, and printed them on premium Inkjet paper.  I then cut them out to the EXACT same size as the orgional ticket.

My paper obviously isn't glossy like the thermal paper, but I didn't think that would matter as it was just going to read the barcode!

Anyway, the ticket goes in, the machine says "Validating ticket" the BV clicks and sputters, then it spits the ticket back out.

I don't believe this to be a problem with the TITO device itself, but rather the BV.   Maybe the paper is too thick?  Maybe it not being glossy is affecting it?

Anyway, the tickets them selves are reusable,  but scanning them and printing them doesn't seem to actually work..

Maybe someone else will figure out a way?  But as of right now I can not get coppied tickets to work!

I have not noticed that tickets being glossy and I have 2 different paper sources
(or at least paper that is older and newer)
I can say this also that the bar code format used is not error proof
I had a ticket that was 16xxx.xx in value  the BV read it as 86xxx .xx and it was redeemed for that amount.
that is why in a real world setting a casino they use a database and most likely enhanced validation.

Also you have to remember that the various programmers should design the BV to reject a copy of a ticket (just in case some one tries to double or triple a cash out)
Justy because you print a cash out ticket does not mean you have to redeem it that day
which gives the cheats time to duplicate a ticket and try to cash it in more than one time
machine does not care if the casino logo is on the back of the ticket only the cashiers cage would notice it missing.

 Maybe a toner or ink jet produced ticket (copied) looks different at Infrared or Ultraviolet spectrum that is probably used in the BV
 
I do know this the older ticket stock I use gives me problems compared to the newer ticket stock.

note I have not had my BV calibrated or updated since 2007 so that could be a factor as well

All thermal paper is glossy..

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the paper it self not the barcode.

I can say that----------It does.  Word-up-- :96-  --about the paper.  It does have to do with the paper,thickiness/ply,transperancy -etc. --Not regular paper in them in my opinion. Take a sheet and micrometer out, scan it, duplicate it and by the time you are done with that process go by a regular case of ticket paper!.  The bv's gotta see it.

Why go to all the trouble of trying to copy tickets when you just take lets say a $100.00 Bill and put it in the machine

then cash it out which prints a ticket then put that ticket back in and cash it out again and just keep doing this till you have a pile

of $100.00 tickets. Then you can put your $100.00 away and just play off tickets.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do now.  But I figured it was probably cheaper if I could print them on regular paper and I know thermal paper does weird things, like fades, turns all black etc.

It was mentioned that the ticket's could be coppied, so I tried it.  But it turns out thay won't work.    That's all.

Since I work with receipts all day at work, the gloss of the paper becomes normal for me and I do not notice it when looking at an form of thermal paper
that may make it more reflective for the light spectrum used by the BV
ticket stock can be cheap if you buy it from the the right NLG member or a decent quantity from Happ Controls (I would call them and see what version they have in the warehouse before ordering
I picked the wrong stock number and they was holding the whole order because I picked ship when order complete (no back order) once the rep changed the stock number (at no additional charge) other than price difference order was shipped and arrived in a week.
I wish their system would show you only items in the warehouse if you choose in stock items only

Hook, I agree 100%.  The chad was messing with paper I think and trying to find alternative to slot paper.  The bv's-all of them are calibrated to only accept that paper designed for them.  Take a currenicey bill -dollar,five,ten-don't matter and a slot ticket and using a fine micrometer and see what you come up with. The thickness is NOT the only thing on slot tickets.  I am not going to harp on this anymore as there are others out there that know this.  I do not even run this sys. nor need it. B.

I just found something unusual  with the TITO I just installed in 3 of my machines. I have a Bluebird, A Reel Touch and An I-Game+.

The Bluebird has always had a Printer in it so I have accumulated a pile of tickets that its printed with random amounts on them when people have cashed out.

I put the new TITO in the 3 machines last week and its been working great. Tonite for the heck of it I grabbed one of the old tickets that the Bluebird had

printed before I installed the TITO and tried it in the Bluebird and to my surprise the machine took the ticket and gave me over $416,000.00 in credit!!!!!!!

I cashed it out and tried another old Bluebird ticket and it gave me over $200,000.00 in credits.  Apparently the TITO is reading the last 8 digits of the bar

code and redeeming the ticket for that amount. These old Bluebird tickets will only work in the Bluebird I think because the voucher limits are too low on the other 2 machines

and it won't issue that many credits on those 2 machines.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this.

This was discussed earlier in this thread I believe or maybe someone PM'd me..can't remember...anyway.....  Your machine will accept any ticket with the TITO device installed however the credit amount added to the machine will not match the "dollar" amount on the ticket unless the ticket was generated from a machine with the TITO device installed....simple as that.  And you are correct, it is reading the last digits you see on the ticket.  And correct again...the machine will only accept ticket amounts that are within the limits allowed by the machines setup.

In this case not the issue...head is fine.  When reading a ticket that was generated from a machine that does not have the TITO device installed...it creates a serial number....a number that can contain many digits.  So when read by a machine with a TITO device installed....it can credit a very large number or not be accepted since it may exceed the machine limits.

My unit is working GREAT!

I have a stack of tickets printed out in various incriments, $20, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $1,500, $2,500!

Just like using cash, except now I don't actually have to have any cash going threw the machine, and if/when the ticket's wear out, I can just print some more!

.. and Jim's customer service is top notch!  What more could one ask for?

Just printed some tickets on regular paper, and they work just fine!

You can't use an inkjet, the ink is too transparent.
Use a laser printer and no problems.

I've scanned and used copies of tickets from $5 to $500 dollars. Printed on both laser and inkjet printers. Using regular 24lb paper. Works great.

Scanned one ticket, cleaned it up (only really need the bar code), copy and pasted four to a page and clicked print.

I did use an Inkjet printer..

It just spits the ticket out.

I wonder if it's a setting on the BV that makes it work or not work?

I know when I was going threw the settings there was something that mentioned BV rejection or something like that...

I have 3 machines with TITO working in them and I was wondering if anyone knows the switch settings I need to disable my WBA BV's

from reading CASH. I would like to set them to read tickets only if possible. Any ideas????

In reguards to this post.  I still have not gotten coppied tickets to work.  Is there a setting or something to make the BV accept/read my coppied tickets?

A different question: I noticed that on the tickets there is a Ticket # that goes up with each ticket printed.  Can this be reset?  I assume this ticket # is not part of the barcode itself?  If it was, wouln't it be possible for the device to only read a Ticket # once, then that ticket # is no longer valid?

Just some thoughts..

P.S. I LOVE my TITO Device!  It works great!  (Though the power adapter is too fat which causes loose connections problems with my Hopper, so I had to run the USB power cord outside the machine untill I can find a lower profile adapter)

chad as you see the numbers underneath the bar codes,thats what determines the value of the ticket.... all the tickets with those values will print out the same numbers underneath the bar code.... to make coppies of the tickets you would need a good copying device..... the bar code has to be identcle in order for it to work..... you would be better off buying a pack of blank tickets for 5 bucks and just print them using your printer......

Print original, reinsert, cash out, reinsert, cashout....over and over and over....
Tickets are cheap and toner or ink cartridges are not...

plus the time it takes to actually cut them up to the proper size

I think thicker paper would last longer than these thin tickets..  The tickets were never ment to be reused.

I'm with Coorslight.  That's exactly what I do.  I have short stack of about 10 $100 tickets.  Enough to keep me going for quite some time.

Yeah, I have 20-$5, 20-$10, 20-$20, 10-$50, 5-$100, 5-$250, 5-$500, 5-$1000, 5-$1,500, & 5-$2500.

That way I don't have to constantly empty my cash can to retrieve the tickets!

Really, with my 2-Coin $0.25 machine, anything over $20 is overkill..   But I'm hoping to get a 3-coin or multi line kit..

I guess I am old and missing the point,,,But why all the different denomination tickets..The ability to put the ticket back in is neat and simple. but so is a $100 bill. So if you have a few $100 or $1000 what ever tickets, just use them when the credits run low. I would just run a hundred thru a few times to get the machine credits up and play till they ran out. then do it again. Now you can do it with out cash. Why the exact denomination of $5 $10 $20 ect...are you holding contests to see who does better with certain amounts or something? Again I guess I am missing the point. Print a few tickets for a few hundred or a few thousand dollars and use them when you run out...pretty simple to me...

I think at this point we are officially hi jacking this thread, which is not my intention..

That said, to answer your question.. 

I printed all the smaller denominations the same as real money.  The larger ($100+) I printed more for fun..

I don't leave credits on the machine and I have kids that play it, they like to use the tokens, I have the machine setup to pay out up to $50 in tokens. At first the kids would keep cashing out tickets in different useless increments, which is why I set it to pay out up to $50 in tokens..  I can stick in a ticket for $20 and press the cash out button to get tokens for the kids to play with out having to open the machine and when they press the cash out button instead of printing another useless ticket, it'll just spit out tokens.

Like I said, only being able to play 2 credits at a time really makes any denomination over $50 too much.

I hope to get an igame or of the like in the future, I will use the larger denominations on that machine and probably print some more then..

But that's why these machines are soo great!  They have a bunch of options and we all set them up differently and play them all differently!

Be careful of non-family and so-so family when it comes to machines with real money....I run mine with tokens that  I let everyone play. Special machines run real money but nobody but me and the wife touch them...They are turned off on family occasions and are broken...Do not need the hassle or confiscation !!

Yeah, that's one reason I put tokens in instead of quarters.

..and another reason to have ticket's printed in the same denomination as real money.   Keeps real money away from the machine all together.

        Not one to be paranoid (or not) DONT bring tickets that you have printed to a REAL casino. Just by possessing them, you might be breaking the law. Then that states Gaming Enforcement agents will REALLY want to talk to you...........and.............do you really want that? Not saying that anyone on HERE would do that, but just a reminder. Same goes for reset keys..........just keep it a hobby and not a crime. Don't bring that stuff with you to a casino. There was a machine with a General Reel Tilt and "M" error at a casino I went to, had a sudden urge to clear it BUT caught myself, remembering where I was...........

Pretty sure the $1200.00 limit is locked on the jurisdiction chip due to IRS laws and can not be overridden . I would guess. Or at least that is what the manual states.

What portion of the ticket is scanned by the BV?  Is it just the bar code?  If yes and we keep the bar code in place, can we modify the ticket copy in other ways?

Here's what I'm thinking ... rather than buy ticket printers, all I really need is Bettor TITO's with updated BV's, right?
Then, using Tim's (Coors) PDFs, I would have all the tickets I need.
But, since I'm printing PDFs anyway, why not enhance the tickets with logos, color, fancy text, etc.
If the only scanned portion is the bar code, then we could make some pretty cool in-home casino tickets! :89- :71-

Please let me know what portion is scanned and if color or other objects on the ticket will prevent a successful scan.

only the center barcode section is scanned.if you ever see a handpay receipt or jackpotreceipt a barcode is at bottom but is not scannable by machine

so other things on ticket will not make a difference

To answer your question, yes only the center barcode is scanned, the rest of the Info is useless.

That said, I still have not been able to get the scanned tickets to work...  Maybe my BV needs to be calibrated to read the printed tickets?  But I have not been able to get mine to read them..

Heh....sorry, no hints...I don't like throwing out ideas that have been in motion for months now and I don't like offering a product that's not ready for all the platforms until it is ready.  I will mention a few things though.

When I was first asked to market and support this product one of my first questions was " is this all it can do?"  And the answer was in all CAPS " NO...it can do much much more....we decided on this board because it is expandable and not a dead end board"..."but it will take time to develop".  So the decision was made based on demand to put on the first generation product with the understanding that a couple of understandings requested by me personally.  One,  software and hardware development would continue as quickly as possible and two, more importantly, current owners if the base unit would be upgraded for the cost of shipping only.  

In the end there will be three Bettor TITO products.  One, the base unit currently offered will see a price cut yet at the same time will still be fully upgradable in the future when the user is ready...it will not be a dead end board.  Two, the Deluxe series board, coming soon, will be sold at the same price as the current product.  There is some serious Wow factor that comes with this product.  Three, there will be a commercial product available that I doubt many home users will be interested in, but based on my conversations with Central and South American as well as Caribbean customers there is a good deal of interest in the BTcom product.

A final note...I have to admit that in my own collection of machines I have not added any TITOs...why?  Well for one I don't have much free time, but I guess the real reason is that if all I can do is print out tickets and move them to another machine...well I guess for me personnally there is just not enough there to get me off the fence.  But knowing what is coming....I WILL be a convert the day it happens....

Hey Jim, this may be a stupid question but....when I buy the TITO will I have to do anything different if I install a different game in the IGT I+?  Say I have Frog Prince in there now with the TITO board installed and what to put like Kenny Rodgers in will I need to do anything different to have the board recgonize the new game?

So when can we expect to see a complete drop in kit for an S+ that includes printer, custom reel or belly glass to support it etc ?

Its a good question and I will let you know after some testing.  My feeling is though that commonly those that don't want to Key chip their I-Game with every software change, they instead have a board for each game and also have a 8-pin EEprom (stores machine parameters) for each game that you replace on the back-plane board.  It's easy to change out this way.  So in other words once you set up a game board the first time, with each game change in the future you should not have to repeat the process.

Heh...really sorry Jay, but from me at least the answer will be...never.  With S2000's being so affordable and the fact that you can take most any S-Plus game and move it to a S2000 cabinet easily, seems it would be futile to try and accommodate an older platform.

You will never be able to change the percentage of payout without key chipping a machine by any product out there.  This Deluxe product does allow you to change information on the ticket very easily.  See Feature #7 above.

that is true every time i change themes i need to use a key38 chip to be able to accept the paytable on a wap based game....only if there was a way to bypass the key chip using tito

Jay...nice to see the history of how NLG was born.  I knew a little of the history but not all of it.



Correct... referring to the Bally Mastercom display and the desire of some to easily change it's display to some kind of custom header.  Beyond that, at least with the Tito Deluxe product we have no other plans for further development, for example, user input of adding credits to the machine via the key pad.  That kind of setup is labor intensive to configure and in our mind becomes obsolete since these features are now more easily and quickly accessed directly through your phone or tablet.



You are correct in saying that some game setups will not allow some or all of the functions of the Deluxe board.  The setup of course has to be using SAS v6.0 or newer.  So for example, a machine using SG000251 (using SAS v5.10) will not work with this product, so in that case, when possible, the software will be need to be updated.  However in cases of two common game chips used, like SG000363 and SG000598 (SAS v6.0 and SAS v6.02 respectively) so far we are finding them to work.  I think the downer for some might be when looking at a Game King I-Game or I-Game Plus running older software....like Little Green Men, or South Park, or Game King 4.3 since they use pre-SAS v6.0 software and so as a result will not be able to use the new features, but of course can still use ticket in and out.



All cabling will stay in place.  The harnesses are unplugged and then the TITO board easily pulled out since it is just Velcro-ed to the cabinet.  Then shipped back for an exchange.  Incidentally the original board is maintained on both the original product and the new deluxe....simply we are adding an Ethernet port.  ALSO, very important for all to know...if your machine is already configured and working with the original Bettor TITO product, when the Deluxe version is returned, you just have to plug it back in....no additional key-chipping or menu setups on your machine will be required for it to run.

LOL...I guess that depends on your definition of "soon".  Too many of my OCD driven clients (including me !!!)....that means NOW....LOL.  I'm not one to rush anything out no matter what it is.  I plan to be fully versed in 90% of all the potential troubleshooting issues before it goes out.  Currently our plan is to release to a few current customers in about a months time as BETA testers.  In about two months time it will be offered as a whole to our current customers and then immediately after that offered to the public.

This is great for a couple of purposes in my mind...you can lock down machines for a night or evening so that the kiddies can not get into them and make a racket when you don't want them too.  Or in another scenario, if you are leaving town and don't want the teenies messing around with them, you can lock down and then turn the machine(s) off.  If they get turned back one while you are gone they will still be locked down until you release them.

Here is what may be a stupid question about this system, but here goes.  Most of our machines are dollar denomination, but also have a couple penny machines. 
When cashing out a ticket on a penny machine, if the amount is not in an even dollar amount, none of the other machines will accept that voucher.  Whereas in a real casino, they would be accepted, but a ticket for the odd change would be produced.  can I change a setting to make this work, or is that just the way it is?  S2000's are what they are installed in.

Bally S6000 support is in the works.



This is just a setting issue.  On an IGT machine, your Accounting denomination can be set for a penny and then you can further make your Coin and Player Denom's a larger amount, like a dollar in your case.  Similarly on an Alpha or BB, the Base Denom can be set for a penny but your Game can be something higher.

I got a couple of emails in the past week with "seeing is believing" requests.   

First one here was from a friend and customer of mine that likes to have "for fun" slot tourneys with friends.  He has them rotate across platforms and saves the scores.  Anyway, currently he has to add credits to each of his 8 machines individually bending over and around people and of course I'm sure it is a little cumbersome.  With the new Bettor TITO Deluxe product this is no longer necessary as you can add credits to them all at once.

A few weeks ago Jim said about two months -  however I'm pleased to say that the first batch will go out for testing within two weeks.   If there are no major problems everyone can start enjoying the product shortly after.

What I love is that each unit is its own web server, this allows you the ability to create your own custom html pages to extract or combine data from the units any way you want.

Right now dozens of units are out in the hands of testers to make sure everyone gets a great experience.    

A compatibility chart is being created.   There are a few OSes where the manufacturer prevents a feature and we want to make sure it is fully documented.    

For example -   on an IGT Reel Touch - SAS does not mute the top box volume -   the slot mutes but the top box does not which allows sound.

However -  the only incompatibilities have been found revolve around volume and mute  -  all other features have worked universally.

The old big mouth is here again. I was lucky enough to be picked as one of the testers. My units came today. @ first I had a problem
connecting to internet, with help they got me straightened out. One number off on my setting it up. 2nd one I had working in about 5 minutes. They are not hard to hookup. I didn't get to play with it other than put credits on & custom ticket. Look forward to playing around with it. I think it's going to be cool.

Ford did a great job.  Like all new things in life the first time can seem tricky but as you can see once he learned on the first one the second machine he did all by himself and took no time at all.  We are slowly starting to release these, I appreciate everyone's patience.  There is some complexity in setups and specific game anomalies on our end that we are or have adjusted to make sure things go smoothly on your end.  This is a very cool setup and worth the wait in my mind.

If this old buzzard can do it there is no reason why you young bucks can not do it.
This afternoon I want to try & put my information like machine name, IP address etc. on site with some help for first one.
After these guys walk me thru I know it will be a snap.

I learned more today. There is a lot you can do. Changed some names around, rewording info. on chip, & a bunch of other stuff.

 I have the WI-FI extender connected and working, real similar like you needed to do Ford. I just do not see how to get connected to the system i.e. the 8 port device and my games. I know it is a Holiday weekend and some folks may be out of town or just want some time off. I am staying home (to many amature drinkers out there for me these days) I don't really expect anything until after the holiday but thought I would post if you can lead this old horse to water. If not, I can wait - No worries!!

Just installed 3 Bettor TITO boards yesterday!!! Took me all of a 1/2 hour.. it was a cinch.. Then I couldn't wait for Jim so I had to connect the boards to use the deluxe features.. TOTALLY AWESOME!!! I feel like I am controlling my own casino!!! The feature's are great... lock them down, add credits, change your messages on the tickets...

I completely agree.  Got mine installed as well.  So easy and very cool.  There is also a new feature (well, not a feature, more like a... Hmmmm...) being worked on to compliment the Tito, but not sure Jim wants me to say anything about it yet, so I could tell you but would have to kill you... Well I just finished installing 3 Bettor Tito's and they are so much fun. I installed printers and everything. It took a little bit because the first machine had a printer issue that I was not aware of and thought I was doing something wrong. The rest of the machines went by like a snap.  Two s2000 and one Alpha.

The only problem was I almost gave my poor Ma a heart attack. I printed out a stack of 500.00 credit printouts. I showed them to her not realizing she forgot all about me doing this with my machines. She thought that they came from a real casino and almost fainted.

my friend just installed tito on his 3  s2000's and the only difference he noticed is when the tickets go in his machines they make no chime...... kind strange i thought all s2000's make that ticket in chime when you stick  tickets in them :103- :103-

My understanding is that sound his controlled by the SB chip.  When cash money, a coin, or a ticket is inserted, the software design says "play that sound".  This is why on some games they will make different sounds based on the bill size you put in the machine...I think Tabasco does that...probably others.

Anything's possible, but I have had plenty of other S2000's that do not make a sound when the ticket is inserted.  So why do some work and some don't?  Can't be TITO related in my mind.  This is the game software designer forgetting to add the code that says "make this sound" when a ticket is inserted.

In your particular case, the only way to confirm what you say is to put in matching software with the older generation TITO and see the results....or vice versa, update your buddies software.  Seems logical that older software, especially the game your are talking about might have anomalies with the sound since many early generation S2000's had strange things going on with sound...or lack of sound.

I just wanted to confirm that I got my Bettor TITO to work on my IGT AVP 2.0 with Game King 6.2.

The first challenge is finding WHERE to plug in TITO, which is behind the ticket printer and behind a metal plate.
If you remove the printer and unscrew the plate, you'll possibly find two cards plugged into the backplane: one is RS-232 (you'll recognize the plug).
Make sure that is plugged into the COM1 slot on the backplane.  Mine was in COM2.
Then, follow all the normal procedures for setting up Bettor TITO.

NOTE: This is the ORIGINAL Bettor TITO as I have yet to upgrade.

Gotta love the TITO.  Even if not for the networking and web interface controls, which I hardly use, it's worth it just to get your machine to accept tickets.  The only feature I would change is to find a way to add card reader support, so we could get a magnetic strip reader/writer and create our own player tracking cards.  I'm actually surprised as long as the S2000 platform and above have been out, that nobodys been able to either create a device to do that, or copy some casino issued software that can tie into a player tracking interface.  I have a player tracking setup in my S2000... it's actually a Bally unit, but powers my LCD screen in the tracking bar and such... I think everything is there to tie into casino network software for player tracking... just missing the software, and obviously any instructions to network the box.  It has an ethernet port, so shouldn't be hard to figure out.  Just have to hook it up to the card reader and pin pad, and obviously find the software.  We need a Nevada casino IT guy with access to the disks to read this post (hint, hint, wink, wink)

So I have a converted WMS 550 cabinet.  Essentially it is a bluebird minus certain features, so I figure, why not give it a try.  So I set out and made a harness from the HOST connector on the backplane to the TITO board.  The result is that it works as it does on a bluebird cabinet.  I can add credits using the network function.  It reads TITO tickets printed on the other machines.  I did not test the mute and disable machine functions, but I see no reason why it shouldn't as everything else does.  So if anybody wants to add it to their cabinet, here is the harness I made.  Basically you connect TD, RD, and GND from the backplane to the same pins on a standard RS-232 pins (2,3 and 5) and you are good to go.

Hey guys, just a quick preview of what I'm working on for Jim, looking to get some feedback on the design, and if there is anything special you would like to see added or changed.  Unfortunately, no Android at the moment... iPhone only... once we get the iOS version wrapped up, I'll see what I can do about porting it over to Android.  The part you can't see in the screenshot below is the configuration area, where you set your IP address, change your machine picture, and enter the details listed to the right (no, sorry folks, it doesn't pull all of that information automatically, lol).  Multiple machine support will be implemented soon, where you can control an entire row, or even an entire room full of machines at once.  For example, it will have a master control page, where you can tap "Lock Machines", and all of your slots will be disable at the push if one button.  Oh, and you'll notice a few features missing that you might ask about... don't shoot the messenger... I had to take out the volume up, volume down, mute on and mute off controls, per Jim's request.  He said they were not working on most machines... my own included.  Also, I can confirm that the app works perfectly on an S2000 with enhanced "R" board, for anyone wondering.  I know compatibility questions have popped up before on the R boards.  No issues here.  Anyway, here is a screen shot to give you guys an idea as to where things are heading.  Feedback is appreciated... good, bad or ugly.  At the end of the day, it's all you TITO users that I'm designing this for, so let me know what you would like to see changed, left alone, removed, replaced, etc, etc.  Additional skin support coming soon, once the initial app is completed.  It will be available in the first update, so you'll be able to change the background, button images, etc to match your machine's style.  Working on adding the buttons into a chrome button deck image for the first skin add-on, but always looking for ideas for more.

Thanks.  Yes, it's a native app.  No more bookmarking an IP address on your phone like we've all been doing and getting that ugly little icon  ;)  With the app, you actually won't need to touch your micro SD card files at all, everything works behind the scenes and looks the same with the stock templates on the SD card as it would if you had a fully modified version.  The only part of the SD card code it uses is the commands to send to the machine.  All of the front end GUI stuff on the SD card HTML template doesn't get used at all.

It hasn't even been a year since the first Bettor TITO thread was started (last October) and you already have a phone app talking to slot machines.  That is so f'n awesome!

That looks pretty slick - Can you expand a bit on the developement process for apps if You dont mind - What SW did You use - what are the gotchas for developing mobile apps etc. Done any work yet with Bluetooth Low energy?. Also from what I have read the approval process for IPhone apps is fairly strict - how do you plan on making it available to users. I would add more option buttons to the main menu and put the machine pic and details on a seperate screen acessed by an button on the main screen.

Nah, most of that is a myth.  Apple isn't very strict at all as long as you follow 3 simple rules...

1)  Do not offer any functionality that duplicates and/or competes with Apples own built in features, functions or products
2)  No nudity
3)  No copyrighted work  (even then it's possible... I have a Diner's, Drive-Ins & Dives app in the app store... I just had to follow Apples rules about how to use the name and references.  Wasn't a big deal, as long as you know in advance what the rules are)

Other than that, I've never had an issue.  I have 11 apps in the app store under my own account, and have developed private white label apps for dozens of clients, including Maxim, Sirius/XM and the Art of Charm.  Never had a single one rejected.  (insert shameless plug... www.angryninjas.com).   Hell, I even have a nationwide strip club locator app that was approved on the first attempt with apple.  No issues at all, since I didn't show anybody topless (or worse)... I came VERY close on a few screens, but not quite showing EVERYTHING, and Apple still approved it.  Search for the title "Strip Clubs" in the app store.  That's my app.  Hell, people can even upload pictures if they want, and once an app is approved, I've never had them go back in and re-review it, so as long as the pictures are clean when they review it, I'm not responsible for what other users upload (as stated in their user agreement that they must agree to when submitting photos).  Plus, if you ever do get a rejection, they tell you exactly why and what you need to do to get it fixed and approved.

All iOS apps are developed with only one kind of software... Xcode.  It uses a combination of Objective C and Cocoa as the backbone language.  With Apple, you can only distribute apps one way... through the app store, so that's how this app would be made available to the users as well (well, technically there's the cydia store as well, if you have a jailbroken device... That's only for apps that apple won't approve because they are either hacker tools, or fall into one of the 3 rules listed above).  We have one app that we made for the Cydia store.  It's called "App Sales", and only could not put it into the apple store because it logs into apples servers and retrieves all of your developer sales data, so you can see all of your app sales stats on an iphone.  Apple wouldn't approve it because they make a dumbed down version of their own, but it doesn't offer half the features that mine does... but apple won't allow competition for their own products (see rule 1 above).  Anyway, Cydia is a whole separate subject... I digress, lol.

As far as adding more options to the menu, there is a separate options screen with all the options to add your pic, change IP addresses, add multiple IP's, enter machine details, etc.  We display that information on the bottom of the main menu because we are limited by the hardware as to the number of "buttons" we can send... Jim requested that we remove the volume up, volume down, mute on, and mute off buttons, since they didn't work for most customers (on the tito itself, not just on the app).  That took almost half of our buttons away right there, lol.  The only other commands that we can send and receive from the TITO unit are add credits, lock terminal, unlock terminal and display stats.  Other than that, the only other thing we can do is add different amounts of credits, and have more "add credit" buttons with different amounts, which wouldn't really be very beneficial... mostly it would just act as a space filler.  Right now, it has add 80 credits, add 400 credits and add 2000 credits.  The average person may think those are weird amounts, but theres a reason... when adding credits, it adds the BASE DENOMINATION value of credits... so for example, if your machine is setup to play pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters on a multi-denomination machine, adding 2000 credits will only add $20, even if you have quarter mode selected.  If another person is using the same app, and has his setup for quarters, 50 cent, dollars and 2 dollars, he can add $20 just by pressing the "Add 80 Credits" button instead of the 2000 credit button, since his base denomination is a quarter instead of a penny.  Same reason the 400 credit button is there... it would be a hundred dollar bill for the average quarter machine.  We have to try to make it useful for everyone, regardless of the denomination of the machine they might have.  We tried to focus on dollar amounts... $20, $100, etc.

So basically, we had space to fill after adding the limited amount of buttons that the TITO can control, so we thought it would be a good place to display the machine image and statistics.  Working on a php script that will fetch the stats from the machine (coins in, coins out, games won, etc, etc) and display them in that area instead... right now pressing the stats button in the app will give you all of that info, but it's in the template .html file that you have installed on the SD card of your TITO unit.  We prefer to have everything native that we possibly can so it all looks built into the existing skin, especially with skin packs being an option in the near future for the app, but we have to make a script that will fetch that html document, scrub it, and scrape the data into our own format.  It will currently display with either the default template that the TITO ships with if you left it unmodified, or whatever custom skin you created when setting up your TITO.  We're working on having the stats display in the apps own template and skin, which will look more professional, regardless of what html files you have installed on your SD card in your TITO.  It's a work in progress, probably saved for an app update at a later time.

Too many projects, not enough time, lol.  As long as you are comfortable programming in the Objective C language, the rest is easy.  I still outsource a lot of my coding, cause I can get things to work the way I want, but it's not always the "proper" way.  When I get stumped on something, I just find a work around.  Thats the problem with being self taught instead of going to school for it I guess.  With any bigger sized client, I always have the coding done by professionals.  Personal projects, like the TITO app, is all done by me personally... the code might not be the prettiest, but the final result is the same and it works.  I'm better with the graphic design than I am with the actual coding, but I know just enough coding to be dangerous, lol.

This is a web app, so it will work on most any device. Right now, you edit one configuration file to set up your machine names, addresses, club name and default voucher information. There's no limit to the number of machines you can configure. It will even check to see if the TITO is online for each machine (you can see one offline in the video) before you can select it.

Very nice!  Just a few things that I ran across that you might not have gotten to yet that may become an issue... I also went with a dollar amount at first, but realized that when it adds credits, it only adds the amount of credits for whatever your base denomination is... for example, I have a multi denomination machine setup for pennies, (base denomination, nickels, dimes and quarters.  If I say "Add $20", the command that the tito receives is to send 2000 credits.  If the same button is pushed by someone with a 25 cent base denomination, the command the tito would need to send would be 80 credits.  I'm guessing you've already compensated for that in either a settings menu or in the code.  Another thing, if you havn't already, you might want to get ahold of Jim and/or Jonathan... when we struck a deal for the app design, part of their requests was to leave the volume control stuff out of it, including the mute functions.  They are having trouble with most customers getting the volume commands to work on their TITO units, and have since scrapped it out of the interfaces (html templates included). 

Great work though, nice slick interface.  If you want to work on one together, or just for comparison purposes, I'd be willing to swap you xcode files so we can each see where the other has been going with the code and GUI's.  If not, that's fine too, but I'm not protective of my code, you can feel free to use any snippets you like.  Shoot me a PM if you like.  Maybe we can bounce some ideas off of each other.

I apologize for the poor focus at times and me missing the buttons on the screen and having to try a few time to actually hit them (I'm not left handed). It was difficult holding a camera/phone in one hand and operating a phone/TITO in the other hand. Also, the wife caught a spelling mistake that has since been corrected.

Here's where I'm at. Today I received a Raspberry Pi. I now have my custom TITO interface running on it (see previous posts for videos). So, I now have a completely self-contained device about the size of the TITO boards that can act as a master controller for all of the Bettor TITO boards on a network.

Again, this can be accessed and used by any device on the network with a web browser (such as, Android Phones / Tablets, iPhones, iPads, Computer, Laptops, etc. Even something like a PS3 that has a browser should work.)

Raspberry Pi boards are readily available to purchase online for $35. You'd also need a 4GB SD card ($5) and my interface program ($25 for now). I'm interested in selling just the software I've developed. So, my plan is that you'll need to obtain the Raspberry Pi and a SD card to put the software on. Then, you'd download a file from me to go on the card, put the card in the Pi, connect it to your network, apply power and enjoy!

Quick question guys... My TITO was working great, then I had to do a clear/key to change my denominations... when I got the machine back up, I keychipped it and setup the settings for the TITO as instructed.  No issues there.  When booted back up, I went into the settings to finish the tito setup, and all worked great until I got to the part about 3.4.3 WAMM setup.  My machine does not have a 3.4.3 WAMM menu in there.    I have 3.4.1 and 3.4.2, but thats where it stops.  So now my tito is not working, I just get the flashing amber lights... no solid light.  Any ideas?

prolly missed a setting...a lot to go thru on a S2000...PM sent.

So I just did a clear/keychip on my S2000, and setup the tito again.  tickets work fine, remote access works almost fine... everything works on the remote access except adding credits.  Strange, because lock, unlock, stats, etc all work perfectly.  If I go to add credits, nothing ever happens.  I'm using the default files on the SD card, so theres no issues  with the button links or anything, and it connects to the machine by IP address perfectly fine.  Checked all cables, they are all nice and snug.  Credits add fine when I insert a ticket.  Any suggestions?

Legacy bonus is probably not set to sas..

Tito setup instructions say to set legacy bonus to primary.  Should I reapply the keychip and change it?

Make sure you have legacy bonusing enabled in keychip menu.

There was a small revision to the S2000 manual just after Deluxe came out that covers that setting....guessing you might already have it since you were up and working before, but I attached it here in case you or anyone else needs it.

Following the receipt of my Bettor TITO , I followed your advice by installing them , but , by turning the printer on DISABLE .
The Bettor TITO seemed to work because I had no error on the machine, and the orange light was on steady and not blinking.

Yesterday I received my printer and I immediately tested………result .... ....

The second step of testing was done with the bill validator, I inserted  the TITO , it was  swallowed and a beautiful melody sounded with credit counter wonderful ... everything works perfectly !

Just one question, is it possible to put the symbol € Euros instead of Dollar $ when printing the ticket ?

PS: Just to confirm  you, the Bettor TITO Deluxe works perfectly with an Ardac 5 bill validator. These BV are very common in Europe.
