Title: Newbie help with coin hopper payout
Post by: mike2361 on October 16, 2012, 10:29:14 PM
Please forgive me but I'm new at this and lost.  I have a double dollar 5 reel machine that prints tickets for payout. I can't get the coin hopper to pay out. I have been through all the settings and a lot of reading but still don't get it, also had to pull the battery twice after jacking it up pretty good. I guess I need a key chip to get to the correct settings? If so can you tell me which one? The game chip is a sg000363 1 of 2. Also a clear chip? Thanks  :131-

Place a WTB ad here in the classifieds for a 45/224 set/clear pair of chips with instructions or contact one of the dealers listed on the home page. It's pretty simple stuff once you have the right tools.

Welcome to NLG, absolutely the best site for the home slot enthusiast :89-

Thank you for the info I have place an order for the chips. But one more question, the hopper has a small led on the board that never lights up and if I try to run the hopper test the hopper wont turn is this normal?

Thanks
Mike

Not for a properly configured machine, but I don't remember if  enabling coinless mode will disable the hopper completely

Coinless mode is disabled hopper limit is set to 100 split payout is enabled and that's all I can remember off the top of my head. I wonder if the hopper is just broken?
Thanks
Mike

That may well be. Try removing the hopper drove gearbox and see if it will turn. They've been known to have the grease dry out and get really tight

It turns fine but I suspect a power problem does any one know the pin out for the connector? I would like to bench test it but don't know what pins are what. It's 24volt correct?

Thanks
Mike
