Title: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 27, 2012, 09:06:02 PM I have a 2000 that I did not sell to guy but I inherited problem.
Call attendant comes up. If you turn key & go thru to button for 2-3 sec. etc it will work for about 3 hrs. I put a new battery in with no difference. I'm going to go thru machine & check all connections next. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks for any help. Ford One more thing. After I put battery in I put it in one of my machines with no problem Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on October 27, 2012, 10:11:47 PM Ford, what's the accompanying error message showing with the call attendant?
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 27, 2012, 10:15:47 PM All it says is call attendant. He didn't say anything else.
I sent him an email to find out for sure Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 27, 2012, 10:29:19 PM Ford, what's the accompanying error message showing with the call attendant? He got back to me. Nothing other than call attendantTitle: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on October 27, 2012, 10:32:16 PM I had a 504 board that was acting funny like that. It would say call attendant and I'd open door and get alarms so I changed the ram chips and it worked for a few months then failed for good. Don't know the root cause of the problem, just that the board failed
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 27, 2012, 10:35:06 PM Thanks cowboy, If I can't find anything else I'll put one of my boards in & see what happens.
Ford Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 29, 2012, 03:46:47 PM Doesn't it sound more like a cold solder joint heating up somewhere?
Where though, I don't know... Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 31, 2012, 10:45:01 PM Well, He came with board today. I thought I'll put it in one of my machines & keep it on 24-7 & see if something happens.
Something happened all right. Did a key, put chip back in,got key - buttons light up be nothing happens when you push buttons. Put my board in & same thing-get key chip config-buttons light-nothing when you push buttons. This machine worked 100% before. Checked all wires-not the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks for any advice other than tell him to go to h***. Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on October 31, 2012, 11:10:16 PM What happens if you turn the game on and off? What lights are showing on the side of the MPU? If problem persists, change door IO card
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 31, 2012, 11:13:06 PM Turned off & on. No lights. Key chip config comes on again.
I swapped door IO card - no change Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on October 31, 2012, 11:17:30 PM It should cancel out of keychip config either when you close the door or turn the machine off if your SB chip has been put back on the MPU. Try a clear chip if it won't go. What lights are on on the side of the MPU
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 31, 2012, 11:20:13 PM Put clear in. 2 top amber lights
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on October 31, 2012, 11:21:44 PM Now key it then put the SB back in. Don't forget to keep the door open after the SB is in so you can set it up again
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 31, 2012, 11:24:58 PM Did the key again. Key chip config - deck lights on - push buttons & nothing happens
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on October 31, 2012, 11:28:54 PM Even pushing max bet doesn't back you out?
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 31, 2012, 11:30:16 PM no, no buttons work.
Close door & key config stays on Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on October 31, 2012, 11:34:53 PM I'm wondering if his board had a short that hurt your motherboard. Any chance a plug got knocked loose while you were taking MPU's in and out?
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 31, 2012, 11:38:14 PM pins all look ok
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on October 31, 2012, 11:44:39 PM Generally a loose plug or bad door IO card is the culprit, but where shutting the door doesn't reset it I'm leaning towards motherboard issue of some kind
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 31, 2012, 11:49:09 PM I tried other things so Guess tomorrow have to look @ shop & see if I have a mother board around.
I'm @ point I don't want to take from another machine & screw that up. Thanks Cowboy Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on October 31, 2012, 11:56:02 PM You bet Ford, if I think of anything else I'll post back, but if these are all your origional parts and it worked before you started, you're running out of possibilities. You are putting the SB back in to do the keychip programming, correct?
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on October 31, 2012, 11:57:39 PM yep. putting sb back in.
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on November 01, 2012, 12:31:57 AM That sucks, I hate it when I wreck shit trying to help someone out :30-
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on November 01, 2012, 12:33:54 AM I hate to think of what he would have said if I were @ his house & put it in his machine & this happened.
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on November 01, 2012, 12:50:06 AM Then the origional problem would of been yours too
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: PLUNGER BOY on November 01, 2012, 12:51:43 AM I had a similar problem and it was a bad ram chip in the board . I thought it was the board and swapped all the chips and they worked . I finally changed the ram 1 at a time and the board woke up . just a idea. I would normally say you have nothing to loose but you already lost . good luck P.B.
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on November 01, 2012, 12:53:36 AM You know it. Anything ever happen from here on would have been my fault.
:259- for help Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: PLUNGER BOY on November 01, 2012, 12:56:55 AM Back at ya :259-
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on November 01, 2012, 01:02:59 AM Hell, I'll give ya one just for sacrificing your machine in the attempt. Sorry for your loss Ford :259-
At least you know enough to tell him his MPU is shot Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on November 01, 2012, 01:05:41 AM Thanks cowboy, Coors just emailed that he'd give me one if I need one
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on November 01, 2012, 01:07:47 AM Coors! I need a machine! LOL, like a hole in the head :5-
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on November 01, 2012, 09:26:05 AM Went thru my boards. I have a P/N 75905700 rev.A & P/N 75905701 rev.A

guess the next thing will be to start swapping out parts. Have to go in van trailer tomorrow & look for parts. (no lights in there) Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: Foster on November 01, 2012, 09:50:12 PM Something I had someone else on here try, and the machine started working.
unplug all the stuff in the top box at the connectors in the bottom of the top box. found out he had an issue with the candle wiring. might even try disconnecting the accounting meters, handle solenoid, and switch and disconnect the W-2G (second jackpot reset switch) if it has one. All player interaction with the machine is done via the Door I/O or Cabinet I/O(SENET), except for the BiV and VFD (netplex) and whatever bonus game parts use. Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on November 09, 2012, 01:17:15 AM Got some time tonight to get back @ it.
Swapped out 2 motherboards I had. swapped power supply swapped supply behind hopper that power plugs into swapped io cards swapped chips swapped MPU board Same thing -key chip config - light come on - nothing happens when you push buttons. :208- :208- Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: staz on November 09, 2012, 01:36:17 AM could it be a short in the button deck?
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on November 09, 2012, 01:36:31 AM Short in the candle wiring?
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on November 09, 2012, 01:40:30 AM unplugged top box wires. no difference
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on November 09, 2012, 01:43:10 AM could it be a short in the button deck? Did not swap deck button harness. Thing is machine worked before I put bad mpu in Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on November 09, 2012, 02:39:45 AM Ford, does your game have multiline display to the left of the reels?
Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: Yoeddy1 on November 09, 2012, 02:57:05 AM Ford, this is going to sound really weird, but I ran into a problem that I could faithfully reproduce. If I have a my 3CM Double Diamond Deluxe kit in, and try to perform a key clear with a 3CM Crystal Sevens (which is the same game as Sizzling Seven Times Pay), I would get strange results. Doesn't happen with any other game except Crystal Sevens.
Did you try to key/clear the game with a different game/SB and perhaps a different key/clear chip if you have one? Jason Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: cowboygames on November 09, 2012, 03:15:00 AM I know what you're refering to Jason. Those Crystal Sevens games are a pain in the ass for game changing

This is one machine I will not sell for now. I've unhooking & hooking up things - swapping out. Had guts in & out about 6 times. Every time do a clear & key. All @ once it worked. I think it's around mother board but not sure. When get time going to try & get it to actup again. I know it was not a harness that was not plugged in all the way. When I get back to it I'll let you know what I find. Have to much other work to get caught up on for now. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: FORDSBS on November 10, 2012, 02:15:41 PM I’ve been thinking of what I did.
I was doing everything I could. I did a jump on bet max button a few times & it came up rams wrong. (don't ask me why other than button's did not work so I jumped it) Key switch did not want to do anything for about 6 or so turns, then it started to go thru display like it’s supposed to do. Did a key again & buttons worked. Not sure if that is what did it. Title: Re: Call attendent Post by: stormrider on November 10, 2012, 04:02:35 PM Hi Ford,
