Title: My new check mate game will not show current odds
Post by: hey now on October 30, 2012, 12:34:16 AM
So I just got my first slot, an IGT check mate s2000 that I will be using for a trade show with new glass top and bottom to reflect my company logo. I want the highest winning % to make it fun. Now I`ve gone thru the whole menu, get up to menu 7.1.2, press spin reels... and nothing! It does not change. I`ve opened up the MPU and found the eprom that controls winning % and it has a homemade label on it but no text. The game chip has the same type of label but says "check mate". Is it possible this is some kind of home programmed chip that will not display on the menu?

2) I want to remove the dollar bill acceptor. Would just disconnecting it and taking out mess with anything else? Would it be fairly easy and "do-able" to put a voucher printer in there? I don`t want anybody cashing out a bunch of  tokens in the middle of show and I want an easy way to clear a lot of existing credits on the machine.

I was considering these guys to make my glass, http://www.fractureme.com/ , any other recommendation?

I`ll be sure to post some pics once I get all my customization done.

if you have a chip here, you have s+ software and can't change the percentage without changing this chip. the sb will be sb001000. it allows you to utilize old s+ software.

I do have that chip, it is labeled "check mate". So the sb001000 would the long chip closest to the yellow battery correct? That long chip currently does not have any text on it. Thanks.

yes the sb001000 allows the s2000board to use an s+ chip. s+ chips are single percentage. checkmate is a double diamond deluxe clone and is you can get a an sb chip for dddx you can take out the checkmate chip and replace the sb001000 to make it a true s2000. you may also need a version chip that goes in the socket next to the ss or checkmate chip
