Just wondering how to tell the difference between the boards in a S2000?

If the tag is missing you can tell by the color of the 2 long narrow sockets that run parallel along each side of the version chip socket. 502 has white, and 504 has black. The enhanced 1270 board is completely differant with 2 black sockets running end to end for the legacy adapter board. Also, on this board, the green battery is on the opposite side of the board from the 500 series boards

The full part number on the little sticker will be 7551502 or 7551504, Rev A or B.

Ok guys found it. Looks like a 502 Rev A. Now my next question is it a good board or should I be looking to get a better one. And whats the main difference between Rev A or B The 502,504 The Enhanced 1270 and whatever other goodies out there. And while I have your attention.it Im looking at getting another machine. Whats your take on a IGT S200 Biker babe(s) its a Harley Davidson theme. Seems pretty plane but wondering what kind of sounds it has packed in. I have my Harley and think it would be a cool addition.

It's a good board. The only "upgrade" would be to the 504B, which provides very good sound quality. If you have an MML2 board with Sound Card (a smaller, 6"x9" board that mounts onto the Main (your 502A) board), and the 504B board, you have what some would consider the best sound quality that can be had from an S2000.  :89-

Without the MML2 and sound card, to me, the machine sounds exactly like a casino, and is just fine. Once you add the MML2 w/card, you will not know how you ever were able to live without it. And just FYI, cost-wise, your probably looking at around $50-60 total for the MML2 board, sound card, and shipping.

If you have hum coming out of your speakers when the reels spin, you don't have a 504B or an enhanced board.

Definitely upgrade...it's worth it.
