Title: What IGT Machine Do I Have ?
Post by: PapaHog on November 02, 2012, 02:09:18 AM
Is my IGT Double Diamond slot machine Model #IB4032C a S-Plus or S2000 ?

I want to locate all manuals and information (operation, programming, maintenance, repair, etc.)
that I can regarding this machine, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It is an intermediate cabinet S-Plus, made sometime between 1989 and 1993.  This cabinet is a few inches skinnier than the standard cabinet.  these slimmer cabinets were often used on cruise ships.

That is a neat one, never have seen a 5 line intermediate cabinet before.  :-)

All manuals relating to the S-Plus will have the info you need.

If you have any questions about your machine, please feel free to ask! :89-
Can we see a photo of the insides? esp. the motherboard, MPU area? Thanks!

This S-Plus will have the CPU on the left side wall of the machine, not in back as newer S-Plus games.

Agreed -- we can tell you for sure if you post a picture or two of the inside of your machine.

The motherboard has the following # on it on a sticker:
75505704 REV B 0396 GTC
The side of the machine has a manufactured date of October 1993

Here are other pics.....

How can I determine what Game and Reel Chips I have ?

I looked at the motherboard, couldn't find a chip with a SP or SS

Welcome to the site, PapaHog!

The picture you show of a board is really a CPU (Central Processing Unit) A mother board is a PC Board that acts
as an interface between A CPU and electrical machine assemblies (power). Usually what a CPU slides into. It is a little
confusing because main computer boards are sometimes called motherboards.

Having said that, the Game and Reel Chips are marked on your CPU just above and to the right of the round blue volume button in your picture. Hopefully the labels on the EPROMs are ledgeable.

To add further confusion and add to what Ron said, when it comes to the S+ slot machine (which is what you have, by the way), the board you removed is referred to as the MPU board (Main Processing Unit, I guess), and that removable MPU board plugs into the motherboard which is a fixed board on the bottom of the machine.

The chips in the "GAME PROM" (SP) and "REEL PROM" (SS) sockets with the white handwritten labels are the ones you're looking for.

You can also follow the directions listed here (http://www.newlifegames.net/spset/SPSS.htm) to have your machine tell you what the chips are, in case the handwriting isn't clear or isn't correct.

Here is a picture of the motherboard; ("motherboard which is a fixed board on the bottom of the machine."), the Game Prom and the Reel Prom chip. Game Prom Chip=772. Reel Prom chip=5XDD85_ can't make out what the last character is 4 maybe.

Referring to the link to have the machine tell me what the chips are... Do I have to have zero credits for it to work ?
I don't have a white button next to the power switch, my white button is on the frame of the motherboard. see pic 100_1820b.jpg.

You have a SP772 and a SS8596 Double Diamond 5-line.

What quarter tokens work on this machine ?

I purchased BryBelly tokens from EBrands via Amazon.com. They stated the following ...
"New Pachislo skill stop slot machine tokens works with IGT by Brybelly"

They don't fit into the machine

IGT made skill stop machines as well as slots I believe. Maybe that's what the ad was referring to? I dunno, just a thought...
