Will it harm  any component of my machine if it is turned off every night?  It's an IGT Double 3X4X5X and will have a topper.  I would like to shut it off to shine less light while we are watching t.v. or a dvd movie.  This is the only machine I have and is in my 15 X 25ft. family room.

I have my S2000 and Game King connected to a surge protector and turn it on and off from there.  No problems in the last couple of years.

All 9 of machines have a separate surge protectors that I use to turn each one on or off.
Been using them for about 6 or 7 years and turning them off a night. (except my Bally S-9000)

Everyone is different. I leave all of mine on 24/7 except in bad weather or out of town trips. It costs about $5.00 a machine per month (for electric) to leave them on.

i have my 3 machines on a surge protector..... thats the most important thing to have....... i turn on my surge protector and my player tracking and tito fires up on my machines then i open the door and manually turn them on....... i never keep them on when i dont use them...... thats like running the shower while your working...... :97- :72-

My machine is connected to a surge protector also.  So if I am understanding right I don't have to open the door and shut it off from inside, I can just turn the surge protector off and on, correct?  I am little confused about the tito and the player tracking though. I did hear somewhere that by turning it off daily will weaken the battery quicker.  Is this a yes or no?  Also, the bottom plug on my wall receptacle is powered by a wall switch which I used to light up my old 1960 slot machine.  Will it be ok to turn my machine off and on by just flipping the wall switch on or off?

thats a no!!!! the battery wont get weaken by turning  off the machine...... you should be fine using your surge protector to turn it on and off.......iits basicly a matter of preference...... my set up is a little different....... for me to have 3 machines run at the same time and my 60 inch plasma in my bedroom would be to much....... i had a few nights i fell asleep with 2 of my machines on and my tv and woke up feeling like i was in a tanning bed all night with a migraine...... so i use the  on/off switches in my machines.......

I don't know where he got it or how much it cost, but Ashyron had a couple of remote controls to turn his machines on. Just a guess but he must have had 6 or 7 machines on each remote control.

i wonder how you would connect that to make it work with a remote :103-

i guess you can run something like this if you want to use a remote......

Kirklasvegas had a couple dozen machines hooked up like that. His were all radio shack modules, discontinued now
