Title: Reel Strips???? Post by: WILDCHERRY21 on November 08, 2012, 08:40:01 PM Ok heres the stumper. I have a IGT S2000 Wild Cherry. I have everything installed that is needed for the back lit conversion. Last step is putting the reel strips on the back lit reels. Seems simple enough but when i put them on they are all wrinkled up they dont seem to fit right. I started at the proper notch but by the time i get around the reel its looks like wrinkled up prune in some spots. Any ideas? Ill take a break from this madness and sip on a Jack and coke to calm down :)
Title: Re: Reel Strips???? Post by: CVslots on November 08, 2012, 08:46:37 PM They could be S+ strips, which are wider than S2000 strips. You will need to trim them to get them to fit. It's about 1/16-1/8" that needs to come off...

Title: Re: Reel Strips???? Post by: CVslots on November 08, 2012, 08:55:00 PM Yah, it's not brain surgery, so as long as you remember "less is more", you'll be fine. Even if you do cut a tad too much off and they are too loose you can get them to stay in place. Not sure why IGT made the backlit/non-backlit reel baskets different sizes, but they did, so that leaves us trimming down strips to fit...

Title: Re: Reel Strips???? Post by: WILDCHERRY21 on November 08, 2012, 11:23:03 PM Honestly Buzz Im not sure what the Hell I did lol. They one i was trying to put on were a set of back lit strips but the damn things would just not go on the back lit reels. I tried everything they were just all buchched up when they were on put on. they didn't fit right at all. so a cut them down and they went on like a glove.

He had strips that wouldnt fit in S2000 backlit baskets....I know, I know, you dont like doing that anymore than "getting your dilly-wacker caught in your zipper", cutting wires, or cutting reel strips....but sometimes it's just the simplest answer!!!! Especially for a common strip like Wild Cherry...bitch at me all you want... :72- :72- :72- Roz Title: Re: Reel Strips????
