Title: 5101 Ram Tester Post by: dhellis on November 17, 2012, 10:27:55 PM Some time back I had stumbled across a RAM tester that was capable of testing 6264 RAM chips.
I contacted the person that made the tester to see if it could me modified to test 5101 RAM chips which are found in older Bally machines such as the E1000/E2000 but also used in several Bally pinball machines. I was informed that it could be re-designed and that sent $$$ shooting through my head :279- NeoLoch Sales was willing to work with me and he did redesign that tester for me at a price that was very reasonable. The truth is the ones he has for sale on his web site are cheaper than the one he built for me. Here is a link to the video that will explain the tester http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Xm5oNAtqrA (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Xm5oNAtqrA) If anyone wants an affordable tester (under $30) which can be modified to test RAM chips up to 24 pins then here is a link to the order page http://www.neoloch.com/products/NLT-5101.php (http://www.neoloch.com/products/NLT-5101.php) Just so everyone knows, I get nothing out of this. Other than getting him to produce it that is as far as it goes. |
