Title: Double Diamond S-Slot machine - payout problem?
Post by: JimSlot on November 23, 2012, 02:56:20 PM
I'm a newbie and I recently picked up a Double Diamond S-Slot machine and I have gotten in working.  I've been playing the machine and it seems to be paying off correctly when it hits.  However, I noticed just one time so far that I think the payoff was incorrect.  The payout line had a double diamond, a cherry, and a blank.   I think I should have gotten 6 credits (3 coins) but it gave me 30.  That is the only time I've noticed that it didn't payout correctly.  Do I have to run a test to make sure that the reel strips have been correctly installed by checking each reel stop position?  Is there something else I should be checking if this has been the only incorrect payout?

Thanks,
Jim

Is it paying out 30 quarters in the hopper or just crediting 30 on the meter? If it's a physical overpay, it's probably hopper optics (I think...I'm still new), but if it's crediting 30 in the meter only, it's something else. I'm not sure what you mean by "6 credits 3 coins." Six credits should be six coins, far as I know.

Thanks for your reply.

It's crediting me 30 credits.

A cherry pays 2 credits with one coin.  I played 3 coins so I would have expected the payout to be 6 credits but it gave me 30.

one of your reel strips has slipped from the alignment groves probably while cleaning the strips.

You got a Double Diamond and a Cherry on the Payline with 3 coins bet, So that is 2 Cheeries X 2 for the Double Diamond symbol... so 15 for 2 Cheeries Doubled as the Double Diamond matches any symbol and doubles the win
