Title: Looking for a repair manual or guide that covers early Mills slots Post by: Amachanic on November 28, 2012, 02:09:24 PM Can any one tell me if there are any good books for trouble shooting and repairing of the early Mills slot machines from the 1920's thru 1940's?? I have a 1920's nickel machine that's not paying out any jackpots.. I removed and cleaned out the pay tube and slides of coins and see nothing jammed up? All springs seem to be there and the levers that ingage the payout disk holes do what they need to do when you hit a pay out.. I'm not sure how much needs to come apart to take the pay slides apart? It would be nice to know how the payout sequence works, what spring and lever does what? This machine is really clean for its age, but doesn't seem to have been oiled very often. Do you need to lube the slides? I think I remember read some where that they don't get greased or oiled??
Thanks Gary Title: Re: Looking for a repair manual or guide that covers early Mills slots Post by: Amachanic on November 28, 2012, 08:43:05 PM Was kind of hoping someone here still worked on these and knew of some good repair manuals that might be available still in print??

It will tell you everything you need to know. That's right. It's the best repair manual out there for Mills mechanical slot machines. Highly recommended! Make sure the springs are attached to the slides and the arms release the locking levers when the fingers are thru the index disks.
