Title: IGT S+2000 SET UP PROCEEDURE Post by: fiero1988gt on November 28, 2012, 06:29:04 PM I have found and down loaded the IGT S2000 menu structure from this forum.
1st Is the IGT S2000 menu structure the same as the IGT S plus 2000 menu structure???? 2nd Where can I find the instructions of which buttons to push for entering or changing information in the menu structure. Which button moves you up or down in the menu which button changes the information and which button enters the information and which button exits you from the menu. 3rd Am I taking a risk in changing any of the information?? Title: Re: IGT S+2000 SET UP PROCEEDURE Post by: CVslots on November 30, 2012, 04:25:15 PM The S2000 menu is entirely different from the S Plus menu. There is no such thing as an S Plus 2000, just S+ (S Plus) and S2000.
Someone posted the S2000 menu "map" on here a few months ago. It will help you navigate. You will need a Key chip to change some of the settings. If you don't have one, the only things you can change are settings like Volume and Sounds. I believe all of the settings that would prevent your machine from playing are protected and are not accessible without a Key chip. No worries though, if you mess something up, the guys here can get you back up and playing in no time. :89- Title: Re: IGT S+2000 SET UP PROCEEDURE Post by: fiero1988gt on November 30, 2012, 06:19:18 PM CV slots--Thanks for the reply. Not entirely new to slot machines but have previously only owned Bally "E" machines of which I still have one left. Thanks for mentioning that my IGT machine is a S + (plus) machine.
I did find a sticky which was posted by ron(r273) called S+ options for rookies. I down loaded it and unzipped but could only read one page and print that one page. I sent a query to the moderator Wayne a69mopar and he explained to me that there were TABS on the bottom of the page. Clicking on these tabs let me print each of the 11 pages. (thanks for the info Wayne) My machine is working but I would like it to work differently. The machine has a bill validater as well as a coin slot and hopper. It also has a barcode ticket printer when a payout is requested. Rather than the machine only accumulating credits I would like the machine to spit out the credits each time they are won. I have read the options sheet which I have downloaded but I still really don't know what to do. Would I be able to find on this site instructions just for this one option? Hopefully the instructions would also tell which buttons to push to get into the menu and which buttons to push for the changes and save the information. I have asked Wayne for this information and he said he would put something together for me but if I can find the information here I would let him know I have it. fiero1988gt Title: Re: IGT S+2000 SET UP PROCEEDURE Post by: CVslots on November 30, 2012, 06:48:32 PM Fiero - is your machine an S+ or S2000? Does it have a blue VFD display window under the reels? (This would be an S2000.) Or does it have only digital red displays? (This would be an S+.)
Title: Re: IGT S+2000 SET UP PROCEEDURE Post by: turniphead on November 30, 2012, 07:16:46 PM that is a picture of an IGT S2000 machine. you will need a keychip, probably 31 or 45 and a clear chip, 224 i believe, to completely option your machine. there's not much risk unless you can't handle pulling and reinserting eproms without damaging either the chips or the board. :89-
Title: Re: IGT S+2000 SET UP PROCEEDURE Post by: fiero1988gt on November 30, 2012, 07:36:34 PM The machine was manufactured October 2003. serial number 1301008. It has red displays under the reels.

Title: Re: IGT S+2000 SET UP PROCEEDURE Post by: fiero1988gt on December 19, 2012, 10:02:59 AM Thanks but I am not sure if I expressed myself properly and I appoligize if I didn't.
If it is possible for me to set up the machine the way I want it to play this is what I would want. 1. Insert a $20 dollar bill and have 80 credits in the credit window. 2. Play with the credits and any wins get added to the credit window 3. Then push cash out button and the hopper spit out the quarters into the tray 4. Now I can play with the quarters and the wins go to the credit window 5. When I need more quarters to play I would again be able to push cash out to get quarters back from hopper. 6. Also would be nice if I could ring the bell if any jackpot was won over a value of 100 or 200 coins???? Thanks very much. Title: Re: IGT S+2000 SET UP PROCEEDURE Post by: cowboygames on December 19, 2012, 11:25:44 AM All of that is possible and easy. With no credits on the machine use the white button on the MPU to enter the menu screens. In menu 3 under limits make adjustments to hopper limits, which determines the maximum number of coins the hopper will pay on any cashout. Adjust credit limit, which determines how many credits will be allowed to accumulate on the machine before it either pays out overages or goes to handpay. Adjust BV limit, which determines how many credits can be added to the machine through the BV. This amount can be lower than the credit limit, but not higher. And finally, set the jackpot limit, which sets the level at which the machine believes a bell ringing jackpot win has been hit. This is commonly set for true jackpot wins. I'm not sure about the bell ringing for all wins as I've never had an S2000 with a jackpot bell installed because it drowns out the rollup music on the machine. You don't need a key chip for any of these settings. If your machine accounting denom is set for quarters you should be good to go as far as getting 80 credits for $20. If it's not, then you will need a clear chip and a key chip to change the accounting denom in menu 7, the exception being multi-denom capable machines, in which case you adjust the player denom in menu 7 instead of the accounting denom and only a key chip is used, no clear chip. Multi-denom machines are identified as those having a split screen VFD display that shows the value of the credits on the machine. Single denom games only have a single line scrolling display in the VFD window.
Hope this is helpful and clearer than mud :89- Title: Re: IGT S+2000 SET UP PROCEEDURE Post by: fiero1988gt on December 19, 2012, 05:10:51 PM Cowboygames.
Thankyou very much. Exactly what I was looking for. Next trip to the cottage I will program the machine. Merry Christmas. |
