Title: 1982 e series win meter not lighting up Post by: bd519 on November 30, 2012, 12:43:36 AM Hi all, I new here so if i need to post elsewhere please let me know.
I have a 1982 E series machine that turns on but wont work. The win meter doesn't turn on. When it does it works for 1 or 2 pulls then goes out and doesn't work again. It worked fine, then one day this, now I can never get it to turn on. Any Ideas? I pulled the side and back boards out and check for bad joints, etc., but I didn't find anything. at the test points and look at the pins for broken solder joints. It may show a hot spot in the plastic due to corroded and overheated connection. If you move the connector to reseat it does that help bring the power back up temporarily?
Bad solder joints on the back of the power supply where the wiring harness connects to the pins are sometimes hard to see. If you can resolder the joints to be sure. With your machine model "E" series you will have your best luck posting and searching in the "Bally Reel Games" section. |
