Title: opinion needed...slot tech hourly rate
Post by: coorslight115 on December 01, 2012, 07:12:47 PM
just looking for your opinion here, what is a fair hourly rate to pay a slot tech to fix a machine. Not to be confused with what to charge a customer for a in home repair. Would love to see these results...and in the US.

There are a couple of other web sites that might be better oriented to this.
http://thedealerslounge.yuku.com/ (http://thedealerslounge.yuku.com/) US site
http://www.gamingfloor.biz/forum/index.php (http://www.gamingfloor.biz/forum/index.php) UK site

This web site caters to Casino Jobs - some postings specify rates most don't

in the casino...lots of variables like floor tech vs bench tech but my estimate is $12/hr up to $30+/hr on the strip.

for a real slot tech to come to your home on his/her day off from the casino to work on your game...i would expect to pay at least $50 up front just to show up, maybe $100; probably really varies depending on where you are. then all costs of parts and probably at least $50/hr for the tech.

glad we have NLG!!  :nlg-  :20-

If I work on a machine that was not bought from me I charge $40 hr.
If bought from me than I'm here for them & most of the time for free unless they did something stupid.

Wife and i both did pinball service calls in nj  if game was from us and in 1st 30 days we  would n/c them  but not from us 40 to 50 a hour at thier home. bought in to shop and no hurry 20/25 per hour plus 2 x on parts. rates changed if they tryed to  fix it on thier own and messed it up more ,  free beer and snacks would get discount , whinners would get  higher rate , good repair people are hard to find
