Title: Tray speaker and media lit board/simm Post by: hotrod777 on December 08, 2012, 06:11:52 PM New to the S2000 platform.
Got a backlit machine but no multi media lite board/SIMM. Both top speakers work with the generic igt sounds, but the tray subwoofer does not. I assuming that once I add the board and SIMM, it will work? Right now the speaker reads good, 4ohm. The connector looks good (coinless machine), and there is a wire coming off of J5 on the amp board up top. My menu doesn't even have attract mode sounds... So I assume the media board adds all that? Raz410 is hooking me up with a board set :89- Related question, does the GX1 mean I could go multi denom? What else is involved other then adding another button? You may need a clear chip if you set that up

You will need a clear chip if you set up multidenom and your lowest denom of the choices is going to be lower than the current accounting denom setting. If your current acct denom setting is, say, a quarter and that's going to be your lowest denom option, then no clear should be needed. If you want the lowest denom option to be, say, a penny and current acct denom is a quarter, then a clear would be needed
