Title: xe359 bulb for back lit reels - alternatives ?
Post by: teamclark4 on December 10, 2012, 03:45:15 PM
Anyone using a comparable, cheaper, bulb for the s2000 backlit reels ?  I'm finding these online for 1.25 each; seems a little pricey, especially when i need at least 40 of them.

Just looking to replace the burned out bulbs; as opposed to a switchover to LED.

Thanks.

Suppliers I've talked to say there is no alternative and they use zenon bulbs for a reason. Just don't know what it is. Probably the same reason people don't put LED's in those sockets, it can screw up circuit boards

teamclark4   Think about this one. If it's a one line game, there is no need of working bulbs above and below the pay line, unless it's a Wild Cherry.

5 reels, 9 lines. 3 bulbs per reel.

We won't do this but the closest specs in a regular incandescent bulb is a number 161 and people do use them in reels, just doubt they care about the reel strips

Thanks Fred, I did run across AG&E after i initially posted.. Wasn't sure if it was wholesale only to businesses, or open to individuals; i guess i'll register and find out..

Thanks to all the responses  :131-

Been out of the loop for a year and a half with my real job and traveling; but now have a more normal schedule so i can start playing with the slots again  :3-
