Tonite when I went down into the game room the Video Screen was out on my Denver Duck.

I shut it down and tried to reboot it but the bottom display just says waiting for the video display and it just sits there

with no signs of any video on the top monitor.  Any ideas???? Would it be the Video monitor itself or the computer behind the screen?? :103- :103-

Normally the inverter goes bad. I ordered a couple from overseas and am still wait for them (not IGT). If they work I'll give you a heads up as to where you can get them. They are very cheap, about $12.00 ea. hope to have them in a week or so.

If you swing open the top box and remove 5 screws that hold the door of the box closed and look back in the corner. It looks a little like this pic

does it boot? can you hear the video beep on start up? does it stop at "waiting for video display" ?

When you turn it on the BV appears to initialize after a few seconds. The fan on top of the computer box is running and there is what appears to be a green light coming

from the area between the touch screen and the LCD screen. There is no video whatsoever and there is no beep. It just sits there waiting for the Video Display.

Isn't the beep sound coming from the hard drive as it initializes? Maybe that's where the problem lies. How's the voltage on the cmos battery in the top box computer?

I just removed the 5 screws and opened the computer up. First off the inverter has a yellow light and a blue light lit up.

I also noticed a red light was on on the computer board but the fan on the processor was NOT running yet the fan on the top

of the computer box WAS running.

I have not measured the battery voltage yet.

I just measured the battery voltage and its 3.2 volts so I guess thats not the problem. I also noticed that the reels are spinning free. The computer

board is running at room temperature and other than the fact there is a red led on I cannot find any voltages anywhere on the the computer board. Is it possible I may have lost

a voltage in the power supply???

The inverter has no lights on it. It's hard to find. when the box is closed and in place in the machine it on right side (in the box) behind all the wires. The BEEP you're listening for is from the top box P/C. that beep indicates you have video from the M/B. NO beep, NO video, bad M/B. If you get the beep, most likely the inverter's bad

OK the board I thought was the Inverter is NOT the Inverter.

If I had to guess I would say that the computer board is dead. There is a tiny surface mount LED that lights up red when the power is on but

other than that the hard disc does NOT seem to be spinning and the computer board does not seem to have any power.  All the chips are cold

and other than the battery I cannot find any voltages on it anywhere.

Check the cables to top box opening and closing can cause problems. check fan for crud CPU's overheat on these very easy. If it's plugged with shit you may just need a new cpu. Cheap on ebay

Where in the top box do I find the power supply plug and what voltages should I find on which pins??

The CPU Fan is NOT running . there was a little bit of dust build up in the fins

of the heat sink which I blew out with a can of air.

Which of the plugs on the back of the top box is the Power Plug and what voltages should be on it??

The top box power supply is similar to an ADX power supply and located right behind the metal framework that holds the monitor/cpu

check those plugs they come losse alot on back of comp/mon in top box

I did that. I need to know what voltages are on which pins so I can tell if the PS is bad.

+12, -12. +5, -5

There are 2 connectors coming out of the PS.

1 of them has at least 20 wires which wires have which voltage????

its dc volts put ground on black wire in plug and check other wire to see voltage  red should be+5 orange +12

If it turns out to be the Power Supply does anyone here have one I can buy???

I removed the power supply from the Top Box of my Reel Touch.  The power supply has

2 connectors that plug into the back of the top box, one has 8 pins and the other has 20 pins.

I powered the unit up and measured the voltage on all the pins on both connectors. The 8 pin

connector has no voltage on ANY of the pins. The 20 pin connector has +5 volts on the green wire

and almost +6 volts on the purple wire. All the other wires are dead. Also the FAN is NOT running.

The cover shows the supply puts out

+5V at 14 amps
+12V at 5 amps
-12V at 0.5 amps
3.3V at 12 amps
+5V at 1.5 amps
-5V at 0.5 amps

The supply is made by 3Y Power Technology and is Model YM-6151A

Anybody got one I can buy??

A member here that goes by SimonBarsinister had some a while back. You might look him up

I found out that the Green Wire is the wire that turns the Power Supply on and it needs to be grounded to

turn the supply on. I tried that it it still does not turn on so it appears that the PS is really bad.

Well I got a new power supply from Jim at Betterslots and put it in and now we are back up and running fine.
