I got a beater 15" VLC.  It is currently working and has over 3,000 credits on it.
However, the BV self tests upon start up, but the bezel led's don't light and it won't draw in a bill.  At first I thought maybe its above the coin in limit, but once a game is selected there is a "B Acptor failed" error on the top of the game.  The machine plays fine otherwise.
Then, I put a token in the CC, but those drop right through as well.
Does the credit limit effect the CC as well?

I don't want to do anything that could brick the machine being clear chips are nowhere to be found,
And I don't want to cash out the credits because if the BV and CC are dead... It's a boat anchor.

Any idea how to enter the menu? And what does the push button do that's by the meters?
Note: I have a key to get in the machine, however no jackpot key. But, there are no wires in the JP key tumbler inside anyway, and I don't 2 wires disconnected in that door area...

In case it may help someone else, the issue was that the machine was very cold, in a garage in the north east.  The transport was  giving a "transport speed test failed" message.  Once everything came to room temperature, all ran well.
