Post by: LauraAZ on January 08, 2013, 01:44:14 PM
It seems like someone got into the slot club member's free play accounts.

MASHANTUCKET, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut State Police say a group of people stole more than $90,000 from Foxwoods Resort Casino by fraudulently accessing the accounts of customers who were awarded free slot machine play.

The Day of New London reports (http://bit.ly/VMzPsz (http://bit.ly/VMzPsz) ) that the accusations are detailed in an arrest warrant affidavit for 39-year-old J. Antonio Cifizzari of New Britain. He was charged Friday with first-degree larceny.

The affidavit says Foxwoods Security began investigating when a patron complained in September that $150 worth of bonus slot play had already been redeemed from her Foxwoods Rewards Account.

Cifizzari is being held in lieu of $125,500 at the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Institution and has pleaded not guilty.

It was not known Tuesday morning if he is represented by a lawyer.

What I want to know is if he got to use the priority line at the buffet.

Sounds like this guy worked at Foxwoods and handed out the pins and duplicate cards to his friends.
Similar thing happened at The MGM Grand Vegas. The guy at MGM made up counterfeit players cards and transfered freeplay from other legit cardholders when their balance was close to expiring, figuring they wouldn't notice. He was charged with stealing over $800,000!!

There was a jerk attorney(ies)  who bought copywrites from lvrj (las vegas review journal) and then watched for copies posted on the web so he could sue for copywrite infringement. Not sure if he went away or not! Believe the name was Righthaven.

Right you are.  I think they got run over by a bus or something (hopefully), but it's a good practice, just in case.
