Title: No Horizontal adjustment
Post by: drakejd1977 on January 18, 2013, 04:24:21 AM
I have Kortek 1703N I cannot adjust the Horizontal adjustment. Will not widen just stays skinny. I have changed all caps and every IC in the horizontal circuit. If anybody has any advice please let me know.

What's the voltage at the center leg of the horizontal output regulator. Should be about 130, if not it may be a voltage regulator IC or related problem

Try replacing the dynamic focus board, it can affect screen size.

It wasn't the dynamic focus board and I had the 130v at the middle pin. I replaced IC401 again and this time it worked. i am guessing i put in a bad chip in. I checked VR 404 voltage at the board and while observing the voltage change. I found there no voltage change past IC 401 for the horizontal size. Change IC 401 and C418. I changed the cap just to be safe. Thanks for the input.
