Big boat anchor right now !!!!! Title: Re: dead Lucky larry Post by: cowboygames on February 09, 2013, 11:32:57 AM Yea and I still have a dead Lucky larry that someone won't help me fix. Big boat anchor right now !!!!! Not to hijack this thread, but maybe we can head it off early. I looked through your posts and don't see any requests for help with that. If you have a story, tell it, in the Rant and Raves thread. If you're having a problem, post it, in the appropriate topic area. We have several people on here with good reeltouch knowledge and a lot more with I-game knowledge if it's that format. Either way, we can't help if we don't know. Title: Re: dead Lucky larry Post by: lindam1 on February 10, 2013, 02:58:03 PM I have always believed if you're gona tell a story you should tel the whole story. Carb bought Lucky Larry from me. Within a month or so the hard drive crashed. He contacted me and then sent me the drive. I first spend some time trying to recover the drive, but it was gone. I ordered a new drive and return both drives to him. After he installed the drive he stated that there was a problem when the machine hit the bonus. It would freeze and you could not use the touch screen. After a little research I learned that this was most likely due to a mismatch between the H/D software and the SB chip, so I provided a different SB chip number. I very much understood his frustration in not being able to make it work right. From the outset all I asked of him was to cover my cost for the new Drive $50.00, and at the end of our many contacts I several times, even offered a full refund. I gave him a very good price and figured he might want a different theme or just to have his money back. After he got the new SB chip I never heard from him again so I thought it was fixed and he would send the drive money. As the Late Paul Harvey would say "Now you know the rest of the story"
