Title: Bally S6000 Swing Time MPU keeps power cycling...
Post by: drfreeze1739 on February 11, 2013, 02:05:35 PM
Have a question,,

I have a Bally S6000 Slot machine... I got it few months ago and it had a dead battery on it so i replaced the battery. Then It came up with a rom Error and i had to buy some clear ram chips.. I got the chips and it wouldnt clear so i bought some New Rom chips and then did a clear ram with the chips and it all worked just fine..... Now it has been a few months now and now it is acting up again.....

It started doing like a power cycle on the board.... Not all the power just the board would power cycle like if you kept pressing the reset button on the board...

So i replace the power supply thinking it was bad.... Well it was not bad because it kept doing the power cycle on the board after i replaced it...

It now showed 83F0 in the lcd so i did a clear ram and it wouldnt clear... it would show CL P then start to try to clear then it would come back up with 83F0....

After a couple times trying to clear ram it... It finaly got it to clear ram but it still keeps doing a like a power cycle on the board only not the hole machine....

Dose any one have any sugestions on what it could be cause it to do this????

Im thinking now it could be a bad MPU board or the Rom chips went bad????

The battery still showing 3.0

Thanks for any help....

I always suspect cheap copied chips first, maybe this has been mentioned on this game before
