Title: Galaga/Midway board in a Multicade cab. Post by: palindrome on February 14, 2013, 09:37:57 AM Would it be too much to ask if someone on here could provide me with measurements of a Galaga/Midway board ?
I am looking to buy a Multicade mini cocktail tabletop machine (see http://www.jammaboards.com/store/multigame-mini-cocktail-arcade-machine.html) & an original pcb board , and converting it into a dedicated portable Galaga machine. Technically this should work with a Galaga board to JAMMA adapter ? The concern is squeezing the board into the cab of 536mm x 292mm ( minus the thickness of the mdf). Another route would be to install a Class of 81 arcade board which is much smaller or use a suitable cab. I know that Galaga comes with the standard 60 games on the JAMMA board but I would prefer to have the real thing. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks. It is dead on in my opinion with all the same great sounds, look, and game play as the original. I was a huge Galaga fan in the 80's and I see no difference here. I can post a video if you like of mine in case you havent seen it. I just think the 60/1 makes a lot more sense to have since you get all the games--and the board is much smaller too so there is not issue. Good luck. Steve

I played it in a 19 in 1 and I wasn't happy, felt OK to play but there was some lag and it didn't seem as smooth as the real h/w. Title: Re: Galaga/Midway board in a Multicade cab.
