Missouri Democrats Introduce Legislation to Confiscate Firearms – Gives Gun Owners 90 Days to Turn in Weapons
Posted by Jim Hoft on Thursday, February 14, 2013, 9:52 AM

Missouri Democrats introduced an anti-gun bill which would turn law-abiding firearm owners into criminals. They will have 90 days to turn in their guns if the legislation is passed.

Dana Loesch Radio reported on the new legislation being pushed by Missouri Democrats:

    Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.

Here’s part of the Democratic proposal in Missouri:

    4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:

    (1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

    (2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or

    (3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.

    5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.

What has this world come to?  All I can think is they wanted to appear to be doing something so they put this up knowing it would not pass and then they can say they tried.  This constant blame of violence on the inanimate objects is something I have a hard time comprehending.  Guess its a good thing slot machines are so big and heavy, otherwise someone would toss one at someone and their would be a bill against these things as well.

What the president and so many congressmen are doing is for the birds.  I don't want to live in a European socialist country thats why I live here, stop trying to turn us into them.

When you look at the statistics concerning gun ownership the states with the strictest gun laws have the highest crime, does not take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.  Most all these terrible crimes occur in "Gun Free Zones", hey if you are going to commit a crime why not go to the location of least resistance.

Do what needs to be done and start dealing with mental health issues in this country, if you have a issue who cares about the stigma it might cause if someone knows, better to admit it and get some treatment than hide it and go postal one of these days.

Ok, climbing off the soap box now...

History repeating itself.   :30-

I am tired of hearing about these "assault weapons" They are nothing more than modern sporting rifles and at best homeland defense weapons. No way in hell would I turn anything in to them, what part of shall not be infringed do these dumbasses not understand? How is it dumbass in the whitehouse can get gun ban bills wrote in days but cannot pass budget in 4 years? He has no respect for the constitution or for this country, wanting to take away our rights and spend us into uncontrolled dept we cannot repay.
