Title: Need help with my first S2000 Slot - Reel 3 Tilt Problem
Post by: ucanwin on February 19, 2013, 05:57:48 PM
Help badly needed with my first IGT S2000 Double Diamond Multi-Coin slot machine with hopper payout.
When I turned the machine on, it showed a Reel 3 Tilt. The 3rd reel moves about one symbol per spin. Earlier the spin was a little more. I tried swapping it with the 2nd reel, and it works fine in that position. So, I think that the problem lies elsewhere, but where? Can anybody help me? :208-

make sure the reel is not rubbing anything (door, light, display).  Some times you can see the interference by looking through the reel glass.

Thanks for the tip, but the 3rd reel spin is short, even when I turn it on with the door open.

I had a whole lot of reel tilts in machines using SG000155 game chips. If that's not the case with this machine, try reseating  the eproms. ( can't hurt anything )

I have only had the machine for a little over a month now. It has been working just great, until yesterday when the reel 3 tilt appeared.
My machine has the SG000512 game chips. Would anyone know what the correct checksum is for them? I have tried reseating the eproms with no luck. The bad thing is, that I don't have another like machine or spare parts to swap with.

I had that problem once and solved it by swapping the am chips on the MPU and keying through the codes that come up

Please excuse me for my ignorance, but exactly what are the AM chips? I am not familiar with that term. Also, where would I find replacement AM chips for my game?

Sorry I missed you, but that's about the way my luck ran all weekend Buzz :37- Dropped about 2k at the Bellagio knowing that playing on the strip is ALWAYS a losing proposition. Shoulda gone to the Station casinos or Southpoint... :30- :30- :30-
