Title: New to slots, out of control already Post by: ramegoom on February 23, 2013, 08:57:49 AM Just started the "Vegas" section of my basement game room in October. What kind of addiction did you guys get me into?

You have a couple in the left of the picture that look old and are on stands that don't match. I would be happy to get those out of your way and make room for newer stands.... Free pickup ? :208- Title: Re: New to slots, out of control already Post by: ramegoom on April 06, 2013, 12:54:26 PM Well I managed to get them all working 100% - except one of those Jennings on the far right, very close - and even that big beast Summit that uses dollar coins. Those Ike dollars are expensive these days, seems only collectors have them anymore. Still, I managed to fill the hopper with coins and when it pays out, the sound of those coins hitting the tray is just too cool. The $200 win is bittersweet though; now go put the coins back in the hopper and move along...
By contrast, the one-arm-bandit on the left side pays nickles. A jackpot payout amounts to around $3.50 in coins. Life must've been awfully simple back in the 30's. I got smart before the economy went totaly sour . sold 2/3 of MY OLD ONE ARM BANDITS back in 2007-08 --even then only made a small profit for the 20 + years i had them . the "best" ---noise is the coin hitting the tray .. I AGREE .. Title: Re: New to slots, out of control already Post by: uniman on April 06, 2013, 04:56:47 PM Nice bunch of machines!
And electronic machines that most give up on because they can't get them working. Title: Re: New to slots, out of control already Post by: jay on April 07, 2013, 02:25:04 AM Thanks Rocket !

Title: Re: New to slots, out of control already Post by: ramegoom on April 07, 2013, 11:16:08 AM What muscle cars are you into? I have two AC Cobras - replicas - one of which has a tilt front end identical to the Shelby Daytona Cobra. And a ton of turbo parts from the Buick Grand National. Been playing with cars forever, as I have burning performance chips for those turbo cars since '87. Been restoring Mustangs many times over the years too. And, my daily driver is a new Camaro SS. Love HP.
Your game room must be a trip. I like the engine on wheels, coffee table top I hope? Keep it organized! About the printed matter: You need to SCAN those and digitize them before it's too late. About my Bell Boy: I still don't understand the attraction to that little fake slot. NO NEED FOR MESS ONCE YOU SEE IT . I should post pics of the cars & races won someday . .. We should move this to peoples other hobbies -before it gets carried away here .. I had the BUICK gran national in 87 brand new .. never should of sold it .. its one of the few new cars i purchased new that i sold . NO SUBTITUTE FOR CUBIC INCHES .. LOL Title: Re: New to slots, out of control already Post by: ramegoom on April 07, 2013, 12:12:26 PM You're right, time to post in the hobbies section. We must be related; I bought the Impala SS new in 1996 - black - had some fun with it. Then I bought a 2006 Caddy CTSV - black again - more fun. That car was a blast. I've owned three Grand Nationals and one '87 turbo T "Limited", and both of my 11 second Cobras have that engine, one with twins, one single turbo. My problem is I get bored and sell the cars, although I have one GN left, building a 600HP toy out of it. Going to fill my profile and make a post in the gearhead section....
