Title: Looking for brighter replacement bulb for the 658 lamps.
Post by: teamclark4 on February 27, 2013, 04:31:11 PM
On my igame i have the 5 individual lights that lightup the "Machine Accepts Tickets" above the bill validator. It lights up the Yellow arrow that points down to the bill validator and covers about 3 inches wide by 10 inches tall. It looks like those are the 658 bulbs (14v, .08amps, 3.9 lumens).  Anyone using brighter bulbs for those ?  I have found replacement LED's for the "73" bulbs that are for the line/bet buttons; but can't find any compatible LEDs for the 658's.

I have temporarily put in a few of my xe-359 bulbs from my backlit s2000 reels (14v, .21amp); and that makes it much brighter. But i'm concerned if i replace all 5 with the xe-359,  the increased amp draw and also the heat as they seem to run hotter then the 658's.  I'm looking to keep the machine on most/all of the time so heat could be an issue.

So anyone have a brighter alternative for those 658's they are using ?

Thanks

Cointaker has some colored ones, but $2 each so much more expensive.  http://shop.cointaker.com/category.sc?categoryId=97 (http://shop.cointaker.com/category.sc?categoryId=97)  An option though if you need colors.  "Pinside" for a coupon saves you 10%.
The ebay auction ones are 2 week to 1 month shipping though from "Outside the US" (China)   :189- :18-
