i have a E2243-44 ....looks to me like a E1000 series but i notice there is no coin board, anyway... the top light is on....the bell rings continuously.......i did manage to get the computer up by replacing the nicad and replacing the cmos ram chips.... in switch test, the coin door switch does not register. I have a general e1000 schematic but it does not show me which input on the I/O board should be the one for the coin door switch wire..... I also do not have a cabinet wiring schematic and so I come to you guyz and gals..... 1. does anyone have a cabinet wiring chart for this slot machine? Does the wire go straight to the I/O? is there any kind of diode that is required for it? this thing looks like it has been hacked and spliced a hundred times. I have connectors to nowhere but the game seems to be running i think i am one broken wire or chip away from returning this thing to the living! What is it that leads you to think it,s a E1000 model?
The MPU, if it does not have a RAM board mounted to it, it is a E2000. Post some pics so we can help you get this machine up and running. The top light, does one of the lights go off and on when open and close the door? When you close the door does the "insert coin" light up on the glass? When you drop a coin in does the "50" code change to (1 000) show amount of coins inserted? Change out the coin switch as these wear out due to the amount of work they do. What i ended up doing was replacing the nicad, wiring it off the board. I also replaced both 5101 cmos ram chips. Then i rewired the door switch straight to the board connector. That fixed the problem. I also replaced the key switch as it also failed. I disconnected the bell(screw it). I can see this cabinet has gone through many wiring changes. However, it seems ok now. Another old slot returns from the grave!
