Post by: vtyler on March 03, 2013, 11:45:40 PM the device i would be hooking it to does require a usb printer but it is not a slot. i do r&d for a couple companys one of them needs a device that keeps logs of sensor data and prints the data on a slip upon request. i also do part time work at a slot repair company recently they were scraping a few units and one of them had this printer in it. i taught that because of its compact size and the fact that i got it cheap it would be perfect for me to try and modify for my use.

Post by: Firebird on March 04, 2013, 09:05:58 PM I would imagine if you found a run program with the proper parameters(templates, fonts, and communication protocols) then it should work in it, provided the printer has enough memory to hold such a run program.

Title: Re: question for gen 2 universal printer. Post by: BrianJM on March 19, 2013, 12:28:09 PM With the Gen2 Universals they are no longer just a netplex printer. They are Netplex, RS232 and USB printers. You can re-flash them with a number of different firmware setups to use in a variety of equipment not just slot machine's. If you are needing a very specific connection type I would contact Futurelogic.
