Title: What do you think about this
Post by: Bigdaddy on March 08, 2013, 01:54:06 AM
Just purchased at an auction for $27.50.  Is it worth trying to get it up and running or should I use it for spare parts?

Here is the scoop on the machine:

Baby Barnyard Casino Slot Machine. Lower portion all powers on and lights up. It is believed that the top portion needs a bulb. The bill changer is in it. Good glass/graphics. No key. IGT brand, Needs a new main and hopper board to stand alone. Those parts will allow it to work alone. Currently programmed to work in tandem in a casino with other units.

Any thoughts???

Looks like some type of S+ Frankenstein machine. Did they really bolt a RT topbox to the top of a 16" game? You say it needs an MPU and hopper board to operate standalone. Do you have the software chips to put on those boards?

We'd have to see the inside to see if they completely screwed up the S+ parts of it, but yes, the bulk of it is an S+, and you could likely remove the top video thing and make it a stand-alone standard S+ machine again.
