Title: Double Diamond problems (Fixed !)
Post by: Jimise on March 09, 2013, 12:59:01 AM
I am trying to set up a 5 reel DD with SB 101580, SG 000598, VS 011GX1.
And I keep getting this error....

Game type is not linked-0X305

Anybody know what would cause this?

Thanks !

Wrong Game Chips, Use 597's (or 363's)

Good deal! No problem!  :88-

The 363s are like the "Wonder Chip" of the S2000 platform...

Ok, I should have the correct chip setup now.....
SB 101580
SG 000363
VS 011GX1
But I still keep getting the same error as before,

( Game type is not linked-0X305 )

Any ideas? Am I missing something?
Thanks!

Have you run a clear chip on the machine and made sure the SAS protocal is set to standard?

No on the clear chip. I do not have one. So far I have never had to use one.
How would I check on the SAS protocal?
Thanks!

That would be in menu 7 key chip settings. Menu 7.2 I believe

Jim  Open and close the main door latch 3 or 4 times.  May work and may not.

I agree with cowboygames.  If the suggestion that Buzz posted doesn't work, clear it and start fresh.

No luck. Turn the machine on, testing memory, then shows call attendant.
Open door, shows system error, turn key, shows the Game type is not linked-0X305 error.
Turn the key, open door, hold down button, close door, shows initialising, then call attendant.
Thats all the machine will do.  The end............ :96-

I guess I put it off as long as I could.   :279-
Thanks everyone !

Jim  When you see call Attendent open the door and turn the key a whole bunch of times and see if it will go to "press test button for 3 seconds "

While you're waiting for that clear chip, double check your key chip menu settings including sas protocal and any progressive settings

Rob  If he has 363s he doesn't have to set SAS/WAMM  ( I think that's correct)

Would they automatically change if he hadn't been using those chips origionally or would they change with a clear chip?

Cowboy,  I can't seem to get into the menu to check the settings. I will give that a try buzz....
Thanks !

If your keychip won't get you in there might have been credits on the machine before all the changes, but I would think those would have been erased with the chip changes. Maybe not. What keychip are you ising?

Key 17.  And I could not key the board.  I tried. I thought any credits
That might be on there would be erased with all the changes.
Thanks!

Rob  To make sure I just put a key chip in a machine that has G000363 game chips.  SAS and WAMM are not a option for you to set. You don't even see them. Been a long time since I used a set but if you have like 362 and you don't pick WAMM or SAS  ALLWAYS PICK WAMM  when you go out of key menu it will display a error something like you didn't pick a Protocol or some BS like that.

How many times has it been posted that the only time you need a clear is when the accounting needs to be changed.   :103- :103- ( I clear them all the time )

Jim You want me to drop a set of clear and key chips in the mail tomorrow ??  Key 31 and clear 97.

Which reminds me, Rob I sent you a package yesterday.

Well, I got my clear & key chips (Thanks Buzz),
I cleared the board, same error. Tried another board, same thing, same error.
I tried the 363 chips with 90 coin TL7 SB chip, and they worked just fine.
So I am thinking there must be something wrong with the SB 101580 chip.
I take a trip over to Ben's shop (Fannini Slots) to see if he could check it out for me.
Well, right away he says I have the wrong game chips , I need the 597 for it to work.
So I get the new chips from Ben and head on home.
I put the new 597 chips in and nervously turn on the machine....
Turn on the machine, get the normal ram error, turn the key a few times, open, close the
door, and it is working! Pull out the board, key it, and set everything up.
I have been playing it all evening.
Thanks for the help everyone  :3-

Jim I' glad it's working/

You said Ben fixed you up with a 597,  did you make a mistake and mean 579 ?? Not a big deal but a SB101580 or a SB101579 should both work in you game. I kind of think your SB101580 may be bad.

Hi Buzz,
Ben gave me 597s. He also said the check sum was correct for the sb 101580.
Anyhow, Im just glad the machine is working!
The 82 simm works good as well......
Let me know what I owe you.
Thanks,
Jim.
