Title: Tatung 14428 No Power -- Help Post by: jthelman on March 12, 2013, 06:55:50 PM I have a Tatung 14428 monitor that I changed out the chassis and yoke board. It came on when powered up but made a arcing noise and then stop, picture looked good. I left the power on for a few hours and everything is working great. I came back about an hour later and saw a black screen. Read on a post to replace c106 and c109 capacitors. It didn't help and there's not static when I put my arm next to the screen. Checked fuse on chassis board and okay also checked 110v where the monitor is connected to and is okay . Anything else that I can check?

1. Take out monitor out of the machine. 2. Apply 110v power to the chassis board. 3. Check the horiz output trans for 130v at the center leg. 4. Also check it for short, center leg to each outside leg Title: Re: Tatung 14428 No Power -- Help Post by: cowboygames on March 13, 2013, 10:26:08 AM That would be MY first move. Are you sure you are getting the 110v supply to the monitor from the machine in the first place?
Title: Re: Tatung 14428 No Power -- Help Post by: jthelman on March 14, 2013, 09:08:45 AM Yes, I'm getting 110v to the monitor. I do have another chassis board that isn't working screen is white, that's why I purchased is other chassis board that lasted 5 to 6 hours and then no power. Would the board with the white screen be easier to repair? I'm out of town and won't be able look at the boards until this weekend.
