With that paper all you need is a 12VDC power supply, the paper, and a small screw driver to flip the dip switches. (you can use your slot machine as the biggest power supply ever lol :5-) However, I'm not saying the document you posted is wrong. The procedure I know is the one without PC/software. You can even perform a complete unit test sensor by sensor without the need of a computer and JCM software (just a small screwdriver to flip switches) Cheers!
