Title: Help! Slot Party with Video Poker Tournament
Post by: 4 Deuces on March 15, 2013, 02:48:11 PM
Okay, I know I'm geeky! :71-  I'm hosting a slot party today with a video poker slot tournament.  Since I live in Las Vegas (technically, Henderson), I thought I should post rules so I don't end up with a former friend turned enemy.  So, I'm turning to my slot friends.  How's this sound?  Too goofy?  Any suggestions?  Is this even needed? :103- :99-

THE LITTERBOX CASINO
Video Poker Slot Tournament Rules
March 15, 2013

1.   This is a free video poker slot tournament for entertainment only in a private residence.
2.   To enter, players draw a numbered chip from a coin cup.  The number on the chip determines the order of play and the color of the chip determines the machine (the machine color is designated by the primary color of the glass with the blue chip for blue machine, green chip for green machine and red chip for red machine).  One entry per person.
3.   Player will have five (5) minutes and 777 credits on Bonus Poker to win as many hands as possible, which is totaled by the machine as the “score”.  Game ends when the five minute timer elapses or the 777 credits are played, whichever occurs first.
4.   There are nine (9) ways to win.  Eight (8) of the winners will be determined by the highest score achieved during play with one (1) winner receiving a prize for the lowest score.  In the event of a tie between winning scores, winners will draw a number from a bucket to determine winner with highest number winning.
5.   After all players complete their video poker play, then winners will be announced starting with scores five through eight, then the lowest score, and finally winners one, two and three.  After a winner is announced, the winner will have a choice of prizes as follows:
a.   First, second and third highest score winners: there are three (3) prizes to choose from.  Highest score winner chooses first; then, next highest score winner chooses from the remaining two prizes; then, third highest score winner receives the prize remaining.  Choice of prizes include (valued at $20.00 each):
•   IGT Slots PC Games including Texas Tea, Rich Girl, Lobster Mania, Uncle Sam, Little Green Men and more
•   Bottle of wine: 2008 St. Francis Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County, California
•   $20.00 CASHOUT VOUCHER from Green Valley Ranch Casino
(good through August 2013)
b.   Fourth through eighth highest score winners: there are six (6) prizes to choose from.  Fourth (4th) highest score winner chooses first out of six (6) prizes; then, fifth (5th) highest score winner chooses from the remaining five (5) prizes; then, sixth (6th) highest score winner chooses from the remaining four (4) prizes; then, seventh (7th) highest score winner chooses from the remaining three (3) prizes; then, eighth (8th) highest score winner chooses from the remaining two (2) prizes; the lowest score winner receives the prize remaining.  Choice of prices include (valued at $5.00 each):

For the record, party was a blast!  When some "jokes" about who "should have" won started, I pulled out the rules and that was that, so good to have in your back pocket.
