Title: Want to learn about jurisdiction specific base chip Post by: vpguy on March 20, 2013, 07:05:50 PM I've got a game king 6.2 maching on an 044 board with the daughter board with the single base chip.
I'd like to know what jurisdiction my chip is. Minnesota? I was told that I can tell by the letters on the chip. Is there a table I can reference? (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j196/roveer/baserom_zps468cd26c.jpg) Also, is it possible for me to get a NJ jurisdiction chip for this machine? How would I go about doing that? Finally, this is going to sound strange but this machine has a lot of games all on a tab on the left side. One of the games is "Super Times Pay" which was the main reason I bought the machine. The problem is this version does not have a turbo speed button only >>>. Also many of the sounds are different. Is it possible to rechip the maching to the "classic STP". Is that a huge deal". I'm thinking it is with all the security and everything. Id like to learn more about this. Would it be feasible to get a second MPU that has the classic game and just swap the boards? As you can see I'm pretty new to this and while I've already learned a lot (all here on new life). There's still a lot to learn. |
