Title: Expert Help Needed/Upper Unit/Coin Lock-Out Coil
Post by: danatlvc on April 01, 2013, 02:32:07 PM
I recently decided to clean the plungers & contacts in my upper unit. When I put it back in the machine the coin lock-out coil would go sporadic every so often. I shut it right of & cleaned the contacts again & now the coin lock-out coil will not work? The coil is good as I put my other upper unit in & it works fine. Any suggestions to what I may have done to cause this & what to adjust or replace? Unit woks & pays out fine fingering the micro switch with no coin lock-out coil working?
Thanks,
Dan

I think there is a switch associated with your odds disc, that opens only on max coins played that kills power to the lockout coil until you pull the handle and reset the other controlling switch for the lockout.  You may have bumped that, or if you took out the white gear, perhaps put it back in wrong...  It is controlled by a little white or brass prong that sticks out from the white gear.  Compare how those switches look with your other top unit.
