Title: General Reel Tilt on My S2000 Post by: Amachanic on April 07, 2013, 12:10:30 AM I have a general reel tilt on my S2000... It was working great, I removed the ticket printer to take with me one day when I went to work on a machine... Come to find out I didn't need it because it was just tickets installed wrong... When I reinstalled it in my machine and powered it back up, I now have this General Reel Tilt error :103-.. The reels continue to spin if the doors open or closed and the reset key doesn't help?? I've tried to open and closed the door to clear the error, but no help :37-.. All my wiring seems ok. do I have a bad board or power supply?? :99-
Thanks Gary Title: Re: General Reel Tilt on My S2000 Post by: Buzz on April 07, 2013, 01:21:58 AM Open main door and turn the key. If that doesn't fix it, check and see if anything is hitting the reels.

closer to the reel glass will do it. Ron (r273) Title: Re: General Reel Tilt on My S2000 Post by: lindam1 on April 07, 2013, 01:08:22 PM check the offending reel to be sure it seated all the way in the plug. you may have disturbed something removing the printer.
Title: Re: General Reel Tilt on My S2000 Post by: CommTech on April 07, 2013, 03:12:43 PM I believe you guy's are misunderstanding the issue. Gary says that the reels (all three) KEEP SPINNING, regardless if the door is open or closed.
I would suggest pulling the printer back out and take a good look behind and around the printer to see if by installing the printer, it may have dragged a wire that was running near it far enough to disconnect it from something. Title: Re: General Reel Tilt on My S2000 Post by: Buzz on April 07, 2013, 03:23:47 PM I don't think I misunderstood, when a S 2000 has a reel tilt all reels spin slowly until you open the main door and turn the key. Turn the key the reels will stop, close the door and the reels will then spin normal to finish the game that was playing when the tilt accrued.

Sorry about that guys! :25- I've had my S2000 less than a year, so I've never actually seen a reel tilt on it. :60- Still learning. :71- :259- to all! Title: Re: General Reel Tilt on My S2000 Post by: Buzz on April 07, 2013, 04:21:48 PM I posted this before but needs repeating, bought a whole bunch of S 2000 most of them had SG000155 game chips. I was plagued with reel tilts, sometimes 4 or 5 to just get one game played. Switch the 155s for SG000363 and no more reel tilts. Now I'm quite sure these machines didn't do this in the casino, if they did they would have been moved to the back room. To this day I will not use 155s in any machines. I use to replace every game chip with SG000363 but when the cost of 8 MEG chips went up to 6 bucks each I stopped that practice.

Not sure what caused it, but after reseating all the reels and checking the wiring connections again it let me clear the tilt. Did the same thing yesterday but with no luck :103- .. You have to love working with electronics :72-
