Title: Sigma uv1700 - replace CD ROM with a memory card? Post by: cfh on March 16, 2009, 11:01:06 PM Has anyone tried this? I have a IDE adapter with a flash memory
card. I will try and load a CD ROM onto the flash. Will be interesting to see if that works. Title: Re: Sigma uv1700 - replace CD ROM with a memory card? Post by: Railroad94 on March 16, 2009, 11:36:50 PM Good luck Clay. Here is the other setup for CDS from Stolistic ,if you missed it.

Tried it both as "master" and "slave". but it did not work. It was easy to copy the CD ROM to the flash drive, but the game did not like it. Too bad as i was hoping using a compact flash drive would speed up the boot time. Title: Re: Sigma uv1700 - replace CD ROM with a memory card? Post by: Stolistic on March 17, 2009, 12:42:16 AM Questions for you about your "exact" setup:
1. Did you use Transend brand or a known fixed disk mode flash? 2. Did you use a linux #dd command to clone the CD? |
