Hmmm ... I suppose it depends on whether it's worth a drive to the Las Vegas and surrounding Arizona area ... they go for $300 - $500 in this area. 14 hour drive? :Dave Title: Re: found this on craigslist Post by: shortrackskater on April 14, 2013, 04:26:35 PM An asking price of $1500 has absolutely no relevance to the value. Usually these have a substantially lower asking price in California. I troll CL constantly and laugh out loud when I see "THE REAL DEAL" and they think they will get thousands of dollars for an old slot machine or, worse yet, a pachislo skill stop that they call a "real slot machine." I'd just watch it and see how long it stays on CL. Usually, they re-list and lower the price or add OBO.
Title: Re: found this on craigslist Post by: Buzz on April 14, 2013, 04:46:43 PM I've been selling slant tops like this one for a hundred bucks, just to get rid of them. That's with a super board.
Title: Re: found this on craigslist Post by: Lyzard on April 14, 2013, 05:06:53 PM I got mine for $200 and it needed work would love to get a real type machine
but they are hard to find here in Ca Title: Re: found this on craigslist Post by: slotsteve on April 14, 2013, 05:39:26 PM i lost a big deal in jan , because there was 25% slants in it and all the do is take up space on the trailers which shipping on is already killing me at 40 to 50 bucks a game from out west for slants that =80 to a 100 to ship, and we rarely have anyone want one , right now we have 2, a williams money to burn 700 and game maker at 600 selling both at a slight loss but still no takers
Title: Re: found this on craigslist Post by: uniman on April 14, 2013, 06:59:55 PM The uprights are much prettier in the mancave, but a serious video poker player prefers a slant top. IMO
The problem with IGT slants is that they are so heavy and have no wheels to easily move them. Gonna toot my horn a little here, Universal put two wheels on the bottom rear of their slants and two handles on the back. Just tilt and roll, easy to move. Need to add that mod to my gameking. On the price, a lot of folks bought machines 10-15 years ago for top dollar as they were harder to find. Now they find out those styles are a dime a dozen. ( why are 75% of the video poker machines in a casino slant tops ) ?? Jim You beat me to most I was going to say. To move a slant close to a wall or away from a wall I use a couple of pieces of PVC pipe under the machine and just roll it in or out, and then remove the pipe. Jim are you coming to the drawing ?? Title: Re: found this on craigslist Post by: uniman on April 14, 2013, 07:17:03 PM Pvc pipe is a good idea Buzz.
Yes, I should be there. Title: Re: found this on craigslist Post by: shortrackskater on April 15, 2013, 02:13:57 PM I got mine for $200 and it needed work would love to get a real type machine but they are hard to find here in Ca You need to come to Southern California...look on CL...there's TONS of them here...cheap as can be. You must be in an isolated area! Title: Re: found this on craigslist Post by: Lyzard on April 15, 2013, 03:54:20 PM am up in Fort Bragg Ca. would love to but i am Disabled and don't drive
