Title: Re: bally s5500 code 54 will not clear Post by: Dennoman on October 21, 2013, 12:56:00 PM I had the same issue and pulled out the switch, duck taped the switch closed, and put the switch back. Then most importantly turned the machine off and on and the problem code cleared.

One at the top where the door lock latch activates the switch and the other is under the cash can on the bottom of the compartment. You can wedge some foam rubber in there or a strip of cardboard to depress the switches.
Title: Re: bally s5500 code 54 will not clear Post by: trashman on January 23, 2014, 06:49:59 PM if you want to do away with the top switch that works with the key cut and put the yellow and grey wire together.i did that with my machine.
