Title: IGT S+ POWER SUPPY VOLTAGE CHANGE Post by: Slottex on March 18, 2009, 04:32:55 PM DOES ANY ONE HAVE A WIRING DIAGRAM FOR CHANGING A S+ POWER SUPPLY FROM 240V TO 120V , ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED !
THANKS DANNY :103- Title: Re: IGT S+ POWER SUPPY VOLTAGE CHANGE Post by: stayouttadabunker on March 18, 2009, 07:01:16 PM You don't need a diagram, all you need is NLG :72- ...open the power supply (PLEASE make sure the power cord is disconnected first!)
Remove the Black/purple stripe (# 29) wire from the coil. Follow it down to the floor...the other end of it will be plugged into the black bus on the floor. Pull it out of there too and your power supply is now 115Vac. Thanks Again K+ :131- Title: Re: IGT S+ POWER SUPPY VOLTAGE CHANGE Post by: stayouttadabunker on March 18, 2009, 09:01:06 PM Do you have a voltage tester on hand?
Always double check with one BEFORE putting it back in the machine. Let me know your tester results for verification. Title: Re: IGT S+ POWER SUPPY VOLTAGE CHANGE Post by: Jim on March 19, 2009, 12:07:45 AM Danny I'm a little late in posting this but something for the future. Jim
Title: Re: IGT S+ POWER SUPPY VOLTAGE CHANGE Post by: stayouttadabunker on March 19, 2009, 12:16:10 AM does it make sense to pull the #29 black w/purple stripe wire out of the number 5 spot on the TB6 bus box?
That would kill the 220VAC right? Title: Re: IGT S+ POWER SUPPY VOLTAGE CHANGE Post by: Jim on March 19, 2009, 12:29:46 AM Mark you were right! :89- I looked at one I had here and #4 position was empty and the Black/Violet wire was in #5. The schematic is implying that if you pull the wire from #3 and put it in # 4 then you would have 220vac in. :88- :71-
Jim Title: Re: IGT S+ POWER SUPPY VOLTAGE CHANGE Post by: stayouttadabunker on March 19, 2009, 12:42:04 AM Because all my machines run out 115VAC, I pull out the purple wire entirely so there's never a chance of something getting in there and turning the power supply into a full blown 220VAC firebox....and you know how big those holes are the top of a power supply....all it takes is one little screw to fall right into that bus on the floor, creating a connection and voila...instant power surge? :96-
