Title: Is this a setting?
Post by: jstraa on March 19, 2009, 12:51:49 PM
Hi, I have 3 IGT S+ machines. 2 of them repeat the last bet when the handle is pulled.
Another one I have to bet credits first and then I can pull the handle. Is this a configurable setting?
Or is somethng wrong with my machine?
thanks

I've checked the manual nothing on that as far as I have read it

That's interesting....it sounds like the handle is connected to the "Max Bet" button?

Depending on the SP (Game Chip) there is an AutoBet feature that is selectable.
What game chip are you running ?
If you need help determining this please see Ricks FAQ link off the main page.
Once we have that number perhaps sonmeone might offer up a PSR sheet.

A PSR is a Program Summary Report and is sort of the guide as how to enable/disable various options.

These differ by game chip.

Gets us closer - that is a theme and relates to your reel chip.
It narrows down the possible list of game chips but not enough to be of any use.
Under Ricks FAQ you can look up your theme in the IGT Bible and it will show you what reel chips are available for your theme.
Reel Chips have a sheet too called a PAR - Paytable and Reel and it describes the payback frequency and distribution ... ie how many little pays before a big one etc.
Expected casino hold based on 10mm spins etc. Interesting stuff.

You need to open the machine and use the self-test button to display your chip numbers, all the instructions are in Ricks FaQ.

0 - 6319 and 0731 are what I'm finding now.
SS6319   92.483 (92.269)   13.737    (72) ABC     1K/2K/3K/4K/6K (4)      7.28

The SP731 chip does not support the Auto-Bet feature...however, it DOES support the huge 8X8 progressive displays :89-

Have the machines done this since you owned them??

are any of your switches stuck in the activate position?   Compare the working machine to the other two  as far as the wiring of the switches is concerned.

The handle only has four wires going to it  2 for the solenoid, and 2 for the end of stroke switch, which is in parallel with the spin switch. it starts the game!!

all machines have the sp 731 in them??

could you explain in more detail what is happening??   as soon as you pull handle and game finishes its spin and puts up credits automatically???

Do the other games have the SP 1137 Euro Credit Game Chip ?

I've seen this on the chips that support Euro or Montana credits.  It's in the SP chip that controls/allows this behavior.

The reel (pun intended) question is what chips are being run in the other two that are exhibiting the desired behavior...

Blueridge,
Did you perhaps edit your post and change the SP1138 to SP1137...meaning that there's no such thing as a SP1138?
Just wondering? -SB

I'm not succumbing to the S2000 craze .... this would be like getting rid of a Worlitzer in favor of a MP3 player.... sure it would sound better, take up less space, use less power but at the end of the day the Nostalgia would be lost.....

Most of these settings are the same in the PAR for the SP chips.. make sure there is no credits on the machine.. open the door.. hit the TEST SWITCH once.. you should see a 0 on the credits bet if Im not mistaken.. this is your page zero settings (if you do hit it more than once you will have to keep hitting it until you get back to 0... it will go 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 9.. stop a few seconds and then go back to 0 if you hit it again...)     turn the jackpot reset key maybe 8 or 9 times until you get a 39 on one of the counter windows like i said I dont remember what window the 39 will show up in.. its been a long time.... this is the auto bet feature.. on one of the other windows you will see a 1 or a 0 ... 0 is diabled and 1 is enabled.. they are on 1 right now.. if you want to change them.. hit the SPIN REELS button to change from 1 to 0 or 0 to 1.. then you must hit the TEST SWITCH inside the machine like 6 or 7 or 8 times to "save" the feature.. you will know when u get there because all the windows will show 00000000000 for a sec or two.. close the door, let reels reset and you should be good to go...
