Title: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Phantsm on May 06, 2013, 07:45:29 PM Currently I have a IGT S2000 5 reel Triple Stars slot and just purchased a sound simm DSV00042. Will this give my slot extra or different sounds? If so, how do I get it to work? It's installed in the machine but it still sounds the same.
Thanks Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: CVslots on May 06, 2013, 08:20:08 PM In a nutshell - You need to change the sound options in the menus now that the SIMM and MML board is installed (basically you are telling the machine that it has the SIMM now and that you would like it to use those sounds versus the standard sounds). I don't think you need a key chip (but don't quote me on that). Go into Machine Options and cruise through the menus. You will see you now have a Multi-Media menu where you can change sounds from Mono to Stereo.
Sorry I don't have more specifics, but it's not too hard, you can do it! Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Phantsm on May 06, 2013, 08:24:02 PM I found the multimedia menu and switched it to stereo. It still sounds the same. If it helps I'm trying to achieve the sound from the youtube link below. I have the same machine and sound simm.

Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: cowboygames on May 06, 2013, 08:59:06 PM And the roll up sounds, all in that same menu
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Phantsm on May 06, 2013, 09:08:37 PM Do I need the Key chip? I don't see enhanced anywhere in the menu.
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: cowboygames on May 06, 2013, 09:17:00 PM No key chip needed. In menu 3 sound options page through to each of those sounds and use the spin reels button to access each particular sound then use the cash out button to change it to the enhanced option for that particular sound
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Phantsm on May 06, 2013, 10:32:08 PM I went through ever menu option and the enhanced selection isn't there.
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: qbert on May 06, 2013, 10:49:04 PM Enhanced is not a menu.
Go into multi media 3.2.6 then go to Reel spin option 3.2.6.4 and hit the play reels button, then use the service or cash out button to toggle to "reel spin enhanced" when you get in to 3.2.6.4 it will probably say "legacy" this is what you want to change. Hit the play button to save and do the same thing for 3.2.6.5, and 3.2.6.6. Hope this helps Rich Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Phantsm on May 06, 2013, 10:56:54 PM Ah..Thats what I'm missing. It stops at 3.2.6.3 and doesn't give me the 3.2.6.4 option.
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: qbert on May 06, 2013, 11:05:21 PM Try reinstalling the 00042 simm card on the MM board. Something is not right.
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Phantsm on May 06, 2013, 11:10:17 PM Thanks for your help but it's still not working. I'm guessing my slot doesn't like the extra music. The only thing it does different is make a ding when the 7 comes up in the first line.
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: cowboygames on May 06, 2013, 11:18:59 PM Take a picture of the board your mounting that simm to and post here please

Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: cowboygames on May 06, 2013, 11:43:47 PM You have what is referred to as a 1270 enhanced MPU with legacy adapter. In your sound menu you don't have any options for reel spin, reel stop or roll up sounds?
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: cowboygames on May 06, 2013, 11:45:34 PM If memory serves me correctly there were a few 5 reel themes that wouldn't respond to a 42 simm. Can't remember what they were though... :103-
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: PLUNGER BOY on May 06, 2013, 11:47:41 PM The video shows a 45 credit machine . Is yours 45 or 90 credits ? Higher credit chips use extra space on the chips that were used for extra sounds . P.B.
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Phantsm on May 06, 2013, 11:58:42 PM My machine actually goes up to 180 credits. As far as reel spin options I have on or off, that's it.
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Phantsm on May 06, 2013, 11:59:52 PM I can play 1,3,5,7,9 lines and bets are 1,2,5,10,20
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: PLUNGER BOY on May 07, 2013, 12:23:36 AM My machine actually goes up to 180 credits. As far as reel spin options I have on or off, that's it. 180 credit will not allow the extra sounds. The one you posted is a 45 credit MAX play it has room in the chip for the extra sounds . You have to change your game chip to a lower credit Max . P.B. Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: CVslots on May 07, 2013, 12:46:35 PM Good eye P.B.!!!! :259- :259-
And :259- for Cowboy and Qbert as well! Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Phantsm on May 07, 2013, 03:17:46 PM Thank you for all of the help and support! I though I was going crazy for a minute when I could find "enhanced" in the menu.
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: stayouttadabunker on May 07, 2013, 03:28:21 PM Good stuff PB :3-

Thanks for all the help. Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: cowboygames on May 24, 2013, 11:40:51 PM Try a 45 or 90 credit chip and see if it helps, otherwise you're out of options
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Vegas Mayor on May 25, 2013, 03:18:03 AM Will do. Thanks!
Title: Re: Sound Simm Configuration Post by: Vegas Mayor on May 25, 2013, 01:05:50 PM Will do, thanks!
