Title: S2000 and S+ reel strip question???
Post by: sturgeongeneral on May 07, 2013, 04:24:18 AM
I have a question regarding S2000 and S+ reel strip for nonbacklighted games. It seems like all 3 strips are exactly the same with all three kits I have. 10X for S2000 and 5X and triple double diamonds for S+. (which I now use in my S2000). Is this normal for a 3 reel game or am I just lucky to get the few that do this? To clarify, reel strips one, two and three can be switched to whichever reel and have the same manufacturer number on each strip.

Some games have identical strips on each reel.
There are quite a few themes that do not have identical strips on the 3 reels
Red, White and Blue themes or clones. Cat and Dogs or clonees, etc, etc

Also IGT wanted to be able to get the S2000 platform in casinos as soon as possible so many S+ themes was ported to the s2000
it takes time for new themes to approved if they are not based on previously approved paytables

There is a IGT S+ Game Bible link on the main page just about every S+ theme is in it.

You can use 99% of the S+ themes in a S2000 with a SB001000 base chip and a SS (S+ reel chip - 120ns or faster) installed in the S2000
