Title: Ram Error
Post by: Roninva on May 18, 2013, 01:33:53 AM
I am getting RAM ERROR, low battery error on my barcrest King Cash slot. The battery isn't low. I've replaced it, twice, as well as metered it. The error comes randomly. Might make it 10 minutes or even a month. Doesn't make any difference if someone is playing it or not. I've reseated all the chips, sprayed the board with circuit board cleaner and unplugged everything in the cabinet and plugged it back in hoping for a loose connection. I'm still getting the error. What should my next step be? Replace the multi controller board?

Well, now I've made it worse, the game doesn't even start now.

Lights... red, quick flash every 2 seconds. Green, steady, orange steady, orange steady, next two oranges alternate blink with a slight pause.

What next?

After leaving it off for a bit, it gets to the PLEASE WAIT ... TESTING MEMORY. But then just hangs up there and never proceeded.

Here are some pictures. Not sure exactly what you were looking to see :) I'm just a home user, not too intelligent.

It sounds like a bent leg on a chip...and with it getting worse after you reseated the chips, it may be worth it to pull them and double triple check for bent legs.
