Title: My BALLY 809 Multiplier
Post by: Nurbo on May 25, 2013, 05:51:15 AM
Hello,

After my IGT S2000 from 2003, here is my last bought : a BALLY 809 multiplier from 1973.

It looks very nice because it has been restaured just before I bought it : the door, glass and bulbs changed.

I like my 809 as well ... its the bell I hate. Cant get it to stop ringing on a payout until I drop the next coin. I will either find the problem and fix it or I will remove the bell. Simple ....

The Fatman .... but not for long

A folded matchbook works well  between the striker and the gong.  Or a thick piece of paper or cardboard will do the trick.  We used to just push the striker arm back behind the round gong, and many of them are certainly still that way.

I like the Bell.  I wish I could get my bell to ring for payouts on my Bally Arrow Line.  This 809 is VERY nice.  I have the exact same machine.  As a matter of fact I am going to play it now...

Enjoy

I have  a six coin multiplyer Bally slot machine. I have serious wiring problems with it. I dont expect to fix all of them at once. I was hoping someone can help me fix the three fuse wiring behind the hopper. Tell me the color code or what order the wires go in. I would appreciate help very much.

6V fuse should be blue with blue/red
50V should be orange, with orange/red
The others should be 120V  Black,  White.
That is the way SOME machines are wired.  Probably most I would guess.

Looks like your 3rd wheel is out 1 position because it payed on 2 plums and a bell with a bar 1 spot off. Something to look atl I dont think it is the wheel strip in the wrong position, but the wheel is off one spot on the index disk.
