Title: Main Door Open Error Post by: aussieaussieaussie on May 29, 2013, 09:08:01 AM Hi all, I have just got myself a 1995 Aristocrat 540 Enchanted Forest Machine, the problem I have is that when I run diag test it says that the optic door switch is mismatched or something. The machine all lights up but just won't work as it says the main door is open.. It did have a broken wire on the optic sensor on the door which I have resoldered but maybe it just needs replacing.. I have tested the main door button and it is working so I am thinking the optic sensor is cooked. I used a digital camera and checked the other optic sensor on the body of the machine and it seems to be blinking so I think that one is ok but not 100% sure.. Any help would be much appreciated.. Ps. Is there any way of disabling the optic door sensor??
Title: Re: Main Door Open Error Post by: cowboygames on May 29, 2013, 11:41:46 AM Even if that sensor is working the two sides have to line up properly when the door is closed and latched for it to do it's job. Try checking the alignment as it is generally adjustable to see if that is your problem
