Can someone tell me how to get my progressive meter working? It currently shows C1 and 0B00, it is a Bally Cash Wheel game

If this is your first time setting one up, you have a little homework to do. There not that hard to program using PSP, just finicky. 

Check out the Mihohn section of the forum and you'll get a feel for what you have to do.

First thing I would check is the battery voltage
on the progressive controller...

Anything below 2.7v they start to loose prorgramming
Leaving the machine off for long periods of time
takes a toll on the original installed battery

This all assuming it's a chamII+ model installed
which it should be for that cash wheel.

Ok, this is a new game to me, where can I find the battery to check on the progressive controller?

Looks like a coin, standing on end, upper left.

Is that a 2032 battery?

The original battery should be a rechargeable VL2020
I wouldn't advise putting in a non regchargeable one in it's place.
been there done that, they last about a year..better off getting the correct replacement.
Not sure on Fords post of his battery though.

In any event David can you give us a little history on this game
as far as was it just sitting around without being turned on
or was the game running fine then you just got the C-1 error ?
Is the game working(playing) without the progressive even though it shows C-1

If it ends up being the battery and will no longer hold a charge
you will have to replace it and reprogram the progressive again with the psp program

C1=Communication Link is down

Unless you unplugged something to do with the progressive you will get c-1
but if it's showing erroneous # as well it lost programming and a dead or low battery is a safe bet

It's on one I picked up over weekend. Not sure what # battery is in it. It's @ shop & I'm @ house now.

I would first make sure you have a ChamII+ and it's configured for Standalone. Seems like a true standalone would not display a C1 as there is no communication configured?? I may be wrong, someone correct me if I'm am.
A ChamII+ can be configured as a standalone, linker, or combination of both. The white sticker on the board should say stnd alone and the label on the flash eprom should have a STA on it.
But a picture of your mikohn board should help clear up any issues.

Yeah, a pic to verify is a good start.
It's coming back to me, you set it up not to show C1 error in the Menu under System. When you boot it up it will show config like STA and then there will be a Show C1 and a = yes or no.
Not sure about the 0B00??

Correct show C1 under Menu system does come up at boot,maybe by default too.(user selectable too)
0B00 or other erroneous # backwards,etc that I've ran across usually came back
to a low or dead battery or the board needed to just be reprogrammed because
the battery dropped so low....all depends if the battery is good enough to hold a charge
and stay that way.
