Title: 2 Older WMS Monopoly machines on Casino floor Post by: jagroups on June 21, 2013, 03:19:09 AM Being a big WMS Monopoly fan, I have done a little traveling to play the older ones. At this time, Mermaids in Downtown Vegas has Monopoly Once Around Deluxe. Mohegan Sun, CT has Monopoly Free Parking. I specifically go to these casinos just to play these two games before they disappear. I assume they bought these machines outright? I dread the day that these disappear. I wish I knew how to approach the casinos to try and purchase them when they are ready to let them go. So many of these were distroyed. It kills me! I assume these specific slots will go back to WMS?

Title: Re: 2 Older WMS Monopoly machines on Casino floor Post by: knagl on June 30, 2013, 05:46:22 PM I would typically agree with this, but those machines at Mermaids in downtown Vegas are so ancient I almost wonder if either a) WMS forgot about them, or b) Mermaids somehow bought them outright. That casino is so incredibly tight and cheap with everything that there's no way they'd be willing to pay a monthly/yearly lease for them.
