Title: bally video poker PSU
Post by: resanberto on June 26, 2013, 10:26:47 AM
Hi Tech's,

Anyone have a Bally video poker "ATX" version power supply schematic.
+5v,+12v,-12v and +24v
The -12v is not used on the output connector.
only +5,+12 and +24 volts.
I dont use hopper (disabled) as the hopper use 24v
I connected a normal PC power supply +5v , +12v , but the machine wont boot without the +24 volts.
Any idea why the machine needs the 24v :103-

Best regards,

alberto

The Bill Acceptor and Meters have a 24V line going to them. Did you get the game up and running?

Yes ..i swap psu from another poker and its working ok.
The psu im working on is completely dead. Everything measure ok on the primaire and no short on the secondary, but still no life :103- :294-
I though of using an ATX pc psu but the mainboard needs the 24v line.

Time to modify this ATX psu to produce +24v and then use regulator for the +12v line.
I was searching for the poker manual to trace the 24v line ..only found the v5000 and v5500 and they use another type of psu.
